Some Questions About Game Dodging

Hello, guys! I have some things that I need clarified around game dodging. I never considered game dodging before but recently I played for a month to get from Silver V to Silver IV. I watched streams, red guides, learned how to counter pick and so on. I finally got to Silver IV. But in a series of 9 games I lost all of them because of my teammates feeding so I got back to Silver V. I don't think I'm a perfect player but I know my role (I play top) and I almost never feed or loose my lane. I get really dissapointed when my team sends me back with LP and a thought comes to mind "Why do I aways get the noobs on my team?". So today I entered youtube and found a video that explained Game Dodging. Basically what I learned is that players have mmr (Match Making Points) and if you have low mmr you win less LP when you win a game and loose more LP for a lost one when you play ranked and to climb the ladder easily you should game dodge (leaving games don't affect mmr). So basically if I have low mmr and I loose 1 game I have to win 2 to get the same amount of lp that I lost or something like that. So my questions are: 1.How can I check my mmr? 2.How do I know when to dodge a game? For exapmle when I dont get the role I want. When I get counter picked. When there is a troll on my team. When we have bad team composition and so on. Are those good reasons to leave a game in champion select? 3.Is there a way to leave a game without closing LOL completely? 4.Is there a way to check my teammates stats so I know if they are worth playing with? Thank you in advance for your answers and excuse me if my spelling is bad. :)

Disclaimer: i do NOT in any way endourse dodging since i find it annoying unless necessary

1.Some MMR cna be checked at "OP.GG" but it is not exact. there is no way to check your true MMR. This site just has a feature to check what your MMR may be. Link to mine for example purposes. (Click the "check MMR" button) http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Foxy+FNAF

2.This is up to you. If you dislike the team and feel you may not win, sometimes a troll (but trolls sometimes don't follow through and just bait dodges out), bad team comp falls into if you think you have a chance to win, if you are fine with losing 3 LP/Auto losing a series game, Etc.

3.No you have to exit out the client and log out then relog in. There is no other form of dodging and that is intentional on riots part since they do not like dodging (hence penalties)

4.OP.GG can search summoners and check there stats as well as LOLskill. Linked mine for example. (OP.GG link above from earlier example) http://www.lolskill.net/summoner/NA/Foxy%20FNAF

3 . If you fail to select a champion, that dodges the game for you. If you're an early pick and decide you want to dodge later, you have to close the client.

PS. I have never intentionally dodged a game, and I don't recommend doing so. If you dodge, you lose LP. If you play, you have a chance to not lose any. At Silver, wins are determined by player skill MUCH more than team comps.

It's not the team and dodging will not help you climb. When it comes down to it, you just have to carry your team and stop blaming them. Maybe you're just at the rank you belong until you improve. (Dodging will not help you improve.)

1.How can I check my mmr?

You really can't because its a hidden number that only Riot has access to. You can use lolking.net and op.gg to see an estimated value as to what your mmr is.

2.How do I know when to dodge a game? For exapmle when I dont get the role I want. When I get counter picked. When there is a troll on my team. When we have bad team composition and so on. Are those good reasons to leave a game in champion select?

You can dodge a game whenever you don't feel like playing. You lose 3 LP for the first dodge of the day and 10 lp for every consecutive dodge after that. For me personally, I may choose to dodge if i don't like my team comp, if I don't like the role i got stuck with, or if something happens in-game/in real life. I personally encourage dodging because it provides a strategic way for players to optimize their LP gains in solo que ranked. Many players do not agree with my point of view unfortunately.

3.Is there a way to leave a game without closing LOL completely?

Currently. there is no way to dodge queue'd games without closing the league client completely ( you have to close the game before the timer ends during champion select). You can only do that in a custom game.

4.Is there a way to check my teammates stats so I know if they are worth playing with?

Yes you can. Use a site like lolking.net or OP.GG and individually type in their usernames to check their profile which shows their match history. Its tedious to do this but if you're really interested, then do it.
