So Azir is free to play. Question?

I have had many mixed feelings about Azir, most of them siding on less favorable. Not all of them. It's been a combination of waning interest and passing dismissal. Though, since keeping track of patch notes regarding him, since, I'm still gonna have Azirs on my team, and fight against enemy Azirs, I made sure to read his notes. He's free to play and I am curious about trying him out. I plan to take him into a bot match, and wanted to ask some general questions on what his basic play style is like, what his passive combo and aggressive combos are. What items he should build, how to use his mechanics, tips on any unforseen rough spots that might be avoided with advice from others have had been through it.

W, q, e, flash (if necesary to get behind them) ULT

IDK What to build but i normally do morellos into nashtors, boots, voidstaff, hourglass and deathcap. It depends who you are with/against but i think those are standard items.

just watch a lot of easyhoon.

He plays Azir to 100% capacity. Learn why he builds what he does and do as he does. Learn to farm as easily as him, learn how he combos people, learn when and why he goes in, why he stays back, and try to learn the powerspikes in matchups and items.

Theres a lot to Azir but mainly, just learn to be comfortable with him, and play passive until you hit the spike. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY BAD AZIR PLAYERS EXIST because they hit that temptation to GO IN early game. Just. Sit. Back.

Yea you have the DPS to kill him, but all he needs to do is walk out of your soldiers after you Q because HEY, it has a 6 second cooldown. And boom you are dead.

So just learn when you can be aggressive, when its correct to be passive, comfort in farming, using abilities, and teamfighting. Hes pretty much the all around perfect mid laner for soloqueue.

  1. Safe against ganks/dives
  2. Snowballs
  3. AoE
  4. Burst+Sustain
  5. Great build paths for items. (morello components are great, and most of his other items share components) www.probuilds.net/easyhoon type in AZIR for the champions filter. Look at most of those games and see against what champions he builds what items. Look at his runes/masteries. He is pretty easily the best azir in the world by far along with being a damn good mid laner in general.
  6. Hard to hit with good positioning.
  7. Very rewarding for the skill put into him, much like how diana is now or how zed/lee sin/orianna used to be, orianna somewhat still but yea.

great champion, not many easily abused weaknesses, and if played right is pretty much unstoppable in lane even if camped. Also can make some cool plays, do insane damage, and is pretty fun overall. Theres a reason hes played a lot.

Keep in mind it will take a long time.
