All-Applicable Runepage Help?

So I was wondering if anyone had advice so I can set up my first rune page. I haven't done it before as I prefer to have a large variety of champions as my priority since I am a filthy casual, and because I play so many different champions and try out so many different roles still I do not have a main role/spot/champion. As such, I was wondering if anyone had advice for runes that I should get that would make a decent rune page that would be useful to all different roles and champions.

For your first rune pages, I'd recommend just getting a couple generic pages which are good on pretty much every champion and situation, though probably not optimal.

  • AD or Attack Speed Quints, AD Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Flat MR Glyphs
  • AP Quints, Magic/Hybrid Pen Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Flat MR Glyphs

You're probably looking at around 15k IP for both pages. However, Riot recently stated that there will be a sale between January 22nd and 26th (IIRC) during which rune pages will be BOGO and runes will be 30% off. I'd recommend saving up and trying to buy the majority of your runes during this time.

Note that these are all tier 3 runes: 9x flat AD marks 9x flat armor seals (you can also run 4x flat armor + 5x flat hp but it costs more IP) 9x flat magic resist glyphs 3x flat AD quints

The logic behind this rune page is that every stat this rune page gives will work with any champion. Every champion obviously has an autoattack that deals physical dmg so both the flat AD and armor are good. The flat magic resist is good against mages and champions that deal magic dmg. Generally, runes are meant to give you some kind of advantage early game thus, picking the flat stat over the scaling stat makes more sense.

you start with 2 pages most reasonable take would be to make an AD page and AP page theyre both identical except well obvious ad uses ad runes etc.

then when u get rich, you can build tank/attack speed and support pages
