How to play a passive jungler vs an aggressive jungler?

This one's been a bit tough for me as I've been maining Amumu recently, but have only really found myself losing against aggressive early game junglers. Now, my issue isn't if they're coming into my jungle; that's easy enough. Just ward up, play a little safer, and the opponent just wastes a lot of time. My issue is that they are able to exert a ton of pressure in the lanes while I'm trying to power-farm, usually leading to them getting some sort of early lead which can snowball into a much bigger advantage. My question is, what can I do as a jungler to decrease the effectiveness of the opposing jungler when I am in this kind of scenario? Do I ward and ping a lot?

On a separate note, what can I do as a farming jungler when a snowbally lane loses early? Do I help that lane despite the low probability of turning the lane around? Do I try to focus pressure somewhere else? Do I just keep farming?

Any suggestions you guys can think of would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When playing a farm jungler, your pre 6 should be all about warding. Learn how to track the enemy's movements by warding deep at blue and raptors. Whenever you see them, ping and warn laners that they can't afford to push unless they ward. As soon as you hit 6, gank whenever your ult is off cooldown, prioritizing bot if you have an AoE all in like Amumu's. Like you said, you will have to make up some ground from the early pressure jungler, but your mid and late game will be stronger if you play it right.

You could counter jungle them. If they gank bot lane take their buff on the other end of the map. If you intend to counter jungle be sure to smite the chickens so you get ward vision. When you go in there ward their camps so you can keep better track of them and give you better info on when to show up again later. Put them in a position where they have to trade their jungle camps or the supremacy of their lanes. Keep an eye on the buff camp timers and control them. Don't give them anything for free. And get a sweeper totem too :)
