When you see that footage that inspires you to try a new champ but have no clue where to begin you come to Tips & Tricks. I saw this footage of Teemo, a champion I had always thought of as weak, seemingly dominating a match-up he seeming should have lost. Seeing this footage inspired me for some reason and I want to give Teemo the fair shake I've never given him. The thing is with all the different builds out there, each tailored to different playstyles, I have no clue where to begin. In the video it looked as if this player played defensively ( Shrooms hugging wall corners, often times hanging back far behind the wave only to go in to get a bit of farm, etc. ) while looking for chances to be aggressive. Other styles seem to include over-relying on your shrooms or being completely passive until later. No matter what the playstyle is I'll be playing from the perspective of a new player and thus need any advice that is going to help me learn to play Teemo effectively. Thank you in advance for any tips and/or tricks you toss my way!

Um poke whenever you can with toxic shot. Place mushrooms in bushes. When someone tries ganking me I run into a bush as fast as I can and go invisible. They can try to kill youw ith just untargeted abilities but you can move around while invisible in a bush.

Would anybody here be able to tell me a bit more about match-ups where Teemo shines along with the ones where he fails? I just played against a Renekton-top where, in spite of doing well and winning my lane at first, I was eventually owned by a mixture of circumstances ( including my own inexperience/sloppy play ) and told by my team that Renekton dominates that match-up.
