Should I buy Jayce? Is he good in this patch? In the last weeks I think I saw just 2x Jayce and I played a lot of games...like at least 3 games per day. His kit seems really impressive and his kite potential for a top laner is insane. I wonder why Jayce is no longer played...and if he worths 6300 ip now.
Personally, I love Jayce. He can out trade just about anyone, is a strong lane bully, and can carry games once you master him. However, he is a high skill cap champion, but he's definitely worth learning. The problem with him is he's a squishy, so if you go against a tanky top laner they can still come back.
I'd say he's not really a good pick at this moment, while he is very fun to play he struggles a bit in the current meta and be warned that he has a higher than average learning curve.
Absolutely! If I'm going against a tank, I will max Q-E-W, since his E does damage based off maximum health. It's fun to EQ in cannon form, then switch to hammer and Q-W-aa-E them. You will do great damage to them this way, and possibly take no damage in return. In early game and mid game (if you build armor pen items like brutalizer) you will be strong, but late game it becomes harder for Jayce to drop the tanks. A lot of people don't use him anymore because they play him wrong or don't trade properly, but I'd say he's still relevant!
