I like playing Quinn, I think she’s really fun to play. I practiced her in a few bot games and practiced last hitting with her in customs until I felt fairly comfortable with her, but when I try to play her in PvP, I lose. Badly.

I’ve been following a few guides and watching gameplay videos on youtube, which certainly do help, but I find that once I fall behind with Quinn it’s very difficult to catch back up.

Any suggestions for how to play her? I've been playing her ADC mostly (teams get so confused when I call top and then disregard my call).

quinn is more of an assassin or even bruiser than an ADC

I'd recommend building full bruiser (botrk + cleaver + tanky) or building full assassin (IE Yoummu LW BT)

depends on your playstyle. you can play her as an ADC but its really not optimal, especially if you compare her to other ADCs

What to do with Quinn: A very basic, quick guide, developed/typed out right now by me

Build

( if behind, if ahead). Defensive Item is flexible, you can go with any of the standard 3 (possibly also with Zhonya's, as your Q scales off of 50% of AP)

Skill Order:

Q, E, W, Q, E, R, Q, Q, Q, (flexible here, I like to put another point in W for Val, then max E) W, R, E, E, E, W, R, W, W

Tips/How to play Quinn

Quinn has pretty short range (525), one of the lowest for ADCs. The only ones she surpasses have a skill that allows them much higher effective range

Quinn is a feast or famine hypercarry. If you get ahead, you can almost certainly stay ahead due to your innate burstiness. If you get behind though, it's pretty hard to do what you need to. So play safer so you don't get in problems, but not so much that you fall behind
As mentioned above, Quinn has insane burst from her passive. Harrier marks deal 25 -215 (15 + 10 / 15 at each level) (+ 50% bonus AD). Early levels is this pretty high damage, and can help you win some trades.
Your most important items are and . These things provide you with even more burst, and you can almost instantly win trades with anyone except a tank with just these two

Synergizes best with:

Provides you with the lockdown and picks you need to utilize Quinn best with.

Hard matchups:

She has the highest base AA range, 225 higher than yours. She can bully you harder than you bully most other ADCs, so try and avoid this matchup when possible, or pair up with a good support and jungler to help shut her down and get ahead of her.

This guy makes it really hard for you in lane. As you have a short range, you're going to be a bit closer to the minion wave than most ADCs, so that makes that even easier for him to get a good pull on you

I play her ADC and do just fine. You can alway out trade the other ADC with her blind. Use her leap misty as an interrupt or as a finisher. It can also be used to leap walls or escape fights look for you tube videos on how to do that.

Anytime an enemy seems to be drawn to a bush use your vision, never be baited again!

Her last hittingn is so easy mode, you can also use your Q to finish off multiple minions at once. It's low mana cost and low CD so don't worry bout wasting it. Always max your Q First. Her ult is great for everything. Getting to a fight, running from a fight, or just as a massive AS steroid in a small skirmish situation. You want more life steal on Quinb than most ADC'd specificaly for winning trades.

I love doing little "snap duels" with the other adc in lane. Wait for passive mark, auto, E, auto, Q, and sneak another auto if the support can't help. Quinn chunks a lot of hp, and there isn't much the other adc can do about it. Just don't overstay.

Quinn is not an ADC and should not be played there. Play her top or mid. Quinn is also not a champion that excels in teamfights. Instead, she's better at splitpushing and skirmishes (small battles).

Furthermore, do not use her ultimate to simply fight. It's preferable if you use it to escape or to catch an opponent. As far as I know, you can't proc the passive mark while in Valor form, which is problematic (can I get a confirmation guys? I'm only about 90% sure). Also, her ult makes her in melee form which is also bad. Always try fighting as Quinn and only Valor for the ult AOE activation or catching up/escaping.

She's useless against multiple tanks until Riot tones down the new tank meta. If you want to play Quinn and the enemy team has 2 or more tanks, just dodge.
