Yay, new rune pages! ...Now what?

I'm one of those shy players who doesn't often step out of my comfort zone; in this case, bots. However, I recently decided to capitalize on this sale and get more than just my starting two rune pages, in order to prep for trying out ranked. I've been running with my current AD/AP split for months now, but by this point it's clearly not enough for some of the champs I plan on taking in. So what do you guys think I should use for alternative rune pages?

For reference, my current rune pages can be viewed here. (yes I use gold quints shut up I like them)

You need to make some more major decisions about those rune pages. Don't expect that anyone appreciates those gold gain ones.

There're plenty of options. You can do an ad page with lifesteal quints for more sustain. You can do move speed quints for champs that need to stick to opponents or junglers who need to get across the map all the time, you can do champ specific pages if you main a certain champ (i.e. hybrid pen, more tank, mana regen, cdr might all be decent for specific champs).

Rune pages aside, I would suggest playing plenty of normals vs people before touching ranked. And if you're trepidatious about playing vs people, make sure you turn off ALL chat and make liberal use of the mute button!

Regarding pages, how many pages are you wanting to get, and how many champions do you have in your rotation?

I like to think of the rune pages more in terms of early game edge. Their value will deteriorate more and more the longer the game goes on. Items just do a much better job of giving you bonuses.

HOWEVER! They are important, and I feel like you can go one of two ways with them. You can try to make it so that they alleviate some of a champs short comings, or they can be used to boost advantages. Also think about things like Movement speed. In the early game, being able to move faster than your opponent can be huge.

Also to reiterate don't jump into ranked, you should play normals. You will learn a huge amount.
