QoL Tweaks I Believe TFT Needs

Let me preface this with saying that this gamemode is fun. I enjoy it a lot more than I thought I would have. Great job Riot! However, after playing about 20~ish times a few things definitely stand out to me as needing a few tweaks/clarity.

  1. Shared champion pool: This isn't inherently a problem, the problem is that you cannot tell how many of each champion are left in the pool. I think that a number should be available somewhere which lets you know how many of each are left. Another problem is people buying up a metric crap-ton of the same champion. Mostly for two reasons. 1) They are trying to build to a level 3 character. 2) They see their opponent needs 1-2 more of a character to level up so they snag all of them. I don't know how it would effect balance, but maybe there should be a few more champions in the pool. Or maybe add some new ones, that would increase diversity and solve this problem.

  2. Item Drops: (Yeah I know everyone has complained about this already but come on guys, I want to hit the horse too!) I think item drops need to be more normalized. From what I can tell, it looks like every monster/creep has a chance to drop an item. Something like 15-20% (Just a guess, don't know the actual number) I think the numbers should be raised at the lower end and lowered at the high end. For example, the chickens raptors can drop anywhere from 0-5 items in total. Why not change it so that it's 1-3 items? That way you are guaranteed at least one item and as a bonus, that one super lucky guy doesn't get enough items to make two Guinsoos and still have a BF Sword left over.

  3. Shared Draft: This one isn't as annoying as the rest, but I feel as though more clarity here would be helpful. I don't like having to quickly memorize which champs and items I have before going to the centre and hoping that the Wheel of Fate has my back this time. A good way to fix this would be to have a toggle button that would display the number and level of the champs you currently have, as well at the items that are on your sideboard. I think that it would work well on the bottom left of the screen since it's out of the way during that section of the game. ( Yeah, I know I can just click back to my platform but then I might miss my pick.)

  4. Fight AI: This one is also relatively minor for me but I feel as though the AI sometimes just attacks whatever it can see two feet in front of it, and other times, it's a decent fighter who actually clicks the 2hp Garen and not the 1000 HP Aatrox. idk what to do about this other than give us target priority, but that feels wrong for this gamemode. Maybe different characters target different classes first?

Anyways, that's my summation of the current issues I have with this new (fun) gamemode. If you've taken the time to read this, thanks! Feel free to add to the discussion. (Please make actual critical points and not just "Aurelion Sol double Guinsoos is op! NERF NOW!") The only way for us to help mold this game is to provide good, constructive criticism for RIOT to use. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

You can know how many is left in the pool. Look at the other players boards
