I do not use chrome, i use firefox. However I do not think it is a browser issue or mouse thing.... I do not use the mouse buttons and I also have had firefox closed and i randomly disconnect from quite a few games as well. I have not been able to recreate the disconnect on purpose, but it does seem to only happen once a game. Not as often as it used to, but it started with me a few days to a week or so before Sept. 11th.... I sent in a support ticket about it but i am horrible with following up on the stuff.
Some stuff that i was recommended by the person who i got a reply from:

Ashe Klutchum from Riot Games Technical Support here. I'm sad to hear that you're experiencing this random freezing issue, I know how aggravating that can be. But I'm here to help figure out what's causing it and get you back to gaming! Do you get any error messages or hear any sound effects when it freezes?
Please Note: When experiencing technical issues, it's strongly recommended that you only play custom games with bots until you're sure that the issues are fixed. This way you'll avoid leaver penalties and LP loss.
Generally, crashing and freezing in League are usually caused by out of date graphics drivers or some other programs that might be running when League runs (including antivirus and firewall). I would definitely recommend checking to make sure that your OS is up to date and that you have the latest graphics drivers. I'd also recommend closing any other programs you don't need to have running when you play League.
To check for OS updates in Windows 10, open the "Settings" menu and then click on "Update & Security". If updates are already prepared for download, you'll see an "Install" button. Otherwise, you'll see the "Check for updates" button. Sometimes you'll have to repeat this process several times until your PC has all of the latest updates.
You can find the latest graphics drivers at the following links (respective to each manufacturer):
NVidia Graphics Cards: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
AMD Graphics Cards: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
Intel Graphics Cards: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
I also recommend running a full repair in League. You can do so by clicking the "Initiate full repair" option in the client's General settings menu.
Hopefully these steps help! If issues persist, it'd be super helpful if you could gather some logs from your computer. These logs will give me some information that could help me identify the cause of the issue. To do so, please download and install our Hextech Repair Tool. For best results, you may need to launch the tool as an administrator. Once the tool launches, go ahead and run it with the default settings. When it finishes, please send me the "lol logs.zip" the Hextech Repair Tool puts on your desktop.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

So if you are better and possibly more tech savy than I am, you could send in a ticket and talk with them and see if you can sort it out.
