I would like to see some of the RNG taken out of the game

So id like at the start of each Minion round the rewards would be set. So everyone one gets an Item or Gold. But the item itself is randomized.

This would prevent the bs of one guy have 10 items and you have like 3.

Im aware there is a level of bad luck protection, but I think leveling the playing field a bit would be only good for the game as it would bring even more of an emphasis on team comp building and skill instead of "oh well I got no items"

I agree in spirit, but until we have more characters and less imbalance in terms of role (ie teams with Jinx/Draven vs teams without, Nobles + x vs non-nobles), that level of luck is what can squeeze by less than optimal teams.

I think some other options like being able to sell a T2 item to pick a T1 item of your choice with exception of Spatula and getting a guaranteed T1 after every character roulette [so effectively 2 T1 items with one bound to a character] would be a healthy nod in the right direction while still preserving that random card feel that makes the threads crying about Nobles not being 100% correct 100% of the time.
