Elder Dragon Execute proccing off DOT's (and itsself) Is like....... Why.
Burning from champion dots is pretty annoying, but like dying from the execute because you are burning from the elder buff itsself is like...... why?

Players: Pls Rito dmg too high Rito: Ok we hear u we lisen to plaers
Also Rito: Adds execute on drakes Cloud drakes now grant ult CD cause we miss URF ASSASSIN ITEMS EVERYWHERE Removes coin and adds AP and AD to support items for some aggressive ass laning phases down bot -4 AD on Garen spin tho just to show we care
Tell me again about damage creep?
They buffed ADC items, see that's more damage >:(
No, they didn't.
they absolutly 100% did shiv items stack now instead of just the highest, thats more damage on anyone who went shiv+rapid crit is cheeper at 800g for 25% meanign 100% crit is cheeper menaing more damage stormrazor now gives crit+ad menaing 3 crit+ad items meaning 75% crit chacne with 300+ad on 3 items, thats more damage
litraly the ONLY thing that got removed to compensate for all these buffs is the rapidfire no longer speeds up energized procs and shiv lightning no longer crits thats it for all those BIG damage and quality of life buffs, you got 2 tiny nerfs
- Removed true damage from Conqueror
- Removed extra damage from Spellthief
- Removed mana regen from Spellthief
- Nerfed Infernal Drake's buff
- Removed increased Drake buff from Elder
- Changed Mountain buff from damage to resistance
- Removed mana regen from Ocean
- Ocean regen can proc in combat
- Second Elder isn't more powerful anymore
- Herald deals way less damage
- Plating resistance increased
- Doran's Shield regen increased
- Edge of Night AD/Lethality nerfed, HP buffed
- Serrated Dirk loses damaging passive
- Spear of Shojin removed

is insane.
Elder dragon execute is sky high and it´s even bugged to shit, have been multiple reports of activation on hit regardless of target´s remaining health.
And lets not forget that the burn is not just a little either, or that the execute is nearly instant.
Energized items lost some damage individually but now stack, attackspeed was lost but as a result burst is higher while DPS is lower on the crit side.
Overall they were going in the right direction but sanguine blade and that elder dragon are both basically carrying the trend of season 9 onwards on their own and the worst part?
Riot were repeatedly warned about both, both by the people playing on the PBE and the people just just read about it,this is AP Galio from ....was it season 7? All over again, or the bloody Malzahar rework.

So, 1 item vs all these changes ? And an elder drake we see once every 10 games in already won games ?
So, 1 item vs all these changes ? And an elder drake we see once every 10 games in already won games ?
Far from it.
The amount of lethality was raised with items like
being added, the damage will rise on the AD side as a natural consequence, glass cannons will be vaporized if hit even faster.
And what Elder Dragon is seen every 10 games? I see it basically every game, since everyone and their dogs scramble to get to 4 dragons for the souls buffs ASAP.
Like this the only time i dont see the elder is when the games end by a landslide before then or if the Dragon fights end up dragging on because both sides are even and neither are able to really make a move for it.
The reduction to support gold income results in it being even easier to snowball down there since they are weaker, more snowballing equals more damage done.
Energized crit item stacking is now a thing so crit users can pack up even more burst than before as long as they go all in on it.
Now to be fair i think a lot was done right, Conqueror losing true damage, infernal losing damage boost % and mountain giving resistances + defensive dragon souls that work being implemented.
Heck even aftershock lost damage, overall this was all good work!
But crap was added at the same time and overlooking that will come to bite us in the back later, i´ve already seen some full lethality wukongs&jarvans walk in and 2 shot enemy carries before they could even move more than 2 steps.
70 lethality indeed.
Then there´s the wind dragons, and the infernal dragon soul that add not just a little damage, 3 wind dragons = 30% ult CDR and that infernal dragon soul is like a quick charging luden for everyone.
In the end it feels like we end up with a plus-minus zero situation, we got some but we also lost some so have we actually gotten anywhere? I cant honestly say that we have, not for now at least.
And all this while ignoring that mess which is the Ender dragon....
Sure, but at least the ocean and mountain drake souls have a nice durability buff. Also the fire drakes have been heavily nerfed.
30% ult cdr, except for some champions like kassadin, do not up the burst damages of the champion, it just allows them to ult more often.
I do not think it's a problem that a full glass canon champion can os another full glass canon champion, it SHOULD be the case. I think if they just remove the elder execute we will be back in a very good state in terms of damages
We can already see that tanks are coming back to toplane and have good winrates, the meta will slowly shift.

Yes they are good, but Infernal soul and wind dragons themselves are in essence adding in more damage instead.

.....More ults = More damage.
In Kassadins case it just means he can stack his ult and deal damage faster provided he has the mana to keep going.

Yes but do you really wana deal with say ... a
rolling ultimate hunter, 3 wind dragons and his usual AP build?
40% CDR from his items, 30% from the dragons and another 25% from UH.
160 x 0,6 = 96. 96 x 0,7 = 67. 67 x 0,75 = 50%
Now Karthus is dropping that ult of his every 50 seconds,......sure he´s an extreme example but on the other hand he is far from the only one who has a lot of power gated behind his ult.
We can already see that tanks are coming back to toplane and have good winrates, the meta will slowly shift.
A positive effect caused by the conqueror change, but wont tanks become too OP in any game when they can get wind dragons too?
Imagine say a
ulting every 40 seconds or something, how will you outplay something like this? Or the enemy
making picks every 30.
Ultimate CDR is a dangerous stat and i dont think adding it in like this will end well :(
But but but my pc cafe timer, I need to autowin if you try to drag out a comeback
The real reason for this bull-fucking-shit.
The new buffs are just insanely snowbally.. I hate it.. Assassin meta ontop of the drakes ontop of the elder dragon, ontop of baron, like wtf....
Oh right, and tank supports nerfed into the ground with their starting items...
but wait there's more!
nah I can't be bothered to write it all out.. Seriously though... wtf is riot doing..
The Elder buff isn't the cause of snowballing, it's the consequence of it
no its also the cause if elder buff is stolen by the team thats behind them being behind doesnt matter anymore, they win the enxt fight and thus the game
If you get the Elder stolen that's kind of your fault…
no its also the cause if elder buff is stolen by the team thats behind them being behind doesnt matter anymore, they win the enxt fight and thus the game
Well, so it's not a cause of snowballing, snowballing is starting a little ahead and transforming this little lead into a lead so huge the ennemy team has no chances to comeback. If anything, the elder drake being stolen is quite the opposite of snowballing.
honestly i think they have realized they have made enough profit off of league so they are forcing it to die to non-pc-cafe users so they can (try to) push everyone into the other games they are making
Elder is designed to be a game ending buff. It has so much power because it is meant to allow the team to end ASAP. It only spawns when a team has 4 dragons. If the game is a stomp, this will happen around 26 minutes. If the game is close, with traded dragons, the game will likely be at 40+ minutes. Both of these instances call for the game to end soon.
why should they now dictate how long a game takes... as said above, I rather play a 40min match that is really close then a 25min match that was decided 5min in all because riot decides to throw a gun into a knife fight and say "first to get it wins". Played since S3 and this has got to be the dumbest shit that they have done.
Not everyone has time for 40 minute games, and they are super frustrating to play anyway.
They announced this is how it works when it was revealed, its so you cant just make 1 -10 iq play and escape what should be a game ending buff.. thats what it is.. its telling you the game is over, it needs to end. Its not snowbally.. its the game going for 30+ minutes and it being too long.
There was a time when League games lasted for 45min average. Its only in the last 3 seasons that have been 25min or less.
And that fucking sucked dick
I mean not really. Games weren't decided at 10 like they are now. they could go either way.
Would rather have this than going through 45 mins of nothing happening
i would rather have a rewarding experience playing this game for 45+ mins, instead of dying in 0,25 seconds for 15mins straight every time i come out of base every single game

I remember some games in which my opponent froze for 20 minuts and I litteraly could not touch a minion, so, no i'm not so nostalgic.

Thank god i am not the only one who remembers this happening .-.
Literally 1 bad jungle gank and suddenly you were unable to farm for the next 20 minutes and were utterly condemed to uselessness, less gold than a damn support who didnt have any passive income items like we do now.
i just miss having some kind of diversity in the jungle. Nowadays every champion is effectively the same. Clear the low value jungle, spam ganks till jungle is back up. Repeat.
In the past there were options to do farm junglers, Gank Junglers, Mixed Junglers. Every playstyle was viable.

now that the camps give less xp and respawn faster we might see the farmers junglers rise again.
Unlikely. The problem is that Hard Farm Champs got their strength out of stacking jungle items.
Since Camps are even lower value and there is no stacking jungle item to create artificial value out of the jungle, you are still best off spamming ganks.

If you do not farm you are so low in level compared to laners that you just can't gank now.
Im not saying you dont farm at all, but the jungle meta for the last 5 seasons or so has been. Clear jungle as fast as possible, Gank repeatedly until jungle is back up. Repeat.
There was a time when you wouldn't see your jungler for 25min. Then they would walk out with a 40 stack jungle item and 1v9. Sure this was unhealthy, but it was a timer. If a lee sin was able to get ahead early and invade to keep the enemy jungle shut down they could end the game before the jungler got stacked.

Hum, no, in season 5/6 you could farm your jungle for 15 minuts straight then start to gank. It's only since season 7 that ganking has become way better than just farming. Now they are reverting this back a bit and FORCE you to farm a bit (or heavily tax lanes)
idk i never got a migraine looking at champ select when games were lasting over 25min like i do now
and i actually had fun and wanted to come back to the game during those times

I'm glad they don't last 45 minutes on average anymore, games should last 30 to 35 minutes tops.

That, in theory, is okay although you can argue over what the average match length should be. In practice, at least where we're at now, it's just really fuckin annoying. "Close, long game? Whichever team wins this objective makes the enemies have 20% less hp!"
It's also way too flashy. I don't like hitting a good Orianna ult and seeing this other thing pop up out of nowhere and steal all my hard earned kills. It just looks stupid and attention-grabby.

The game is over when a nexus falls, the game should not force that on us, but rather force the players to. I would rather play a 50minute match instead of everything being decided within 30, that'll remove dozens of champions from the game.
the only ppl that complain about long league games are chinese pc cafe users tbh, which is why tencent china sellout riot games added all the insta-win cheese mechanics
It makes the rules more simple. "If I'm low with the debuff, I'm dead". Not "If I'm low with the debuff, I'm dead. Unless i was not low earlier and was brought down by a dot and the debuff itself etc" The biggest problem for me is the thematics. Elder dragon is not supposed to wait for enemies to drop low and snipe them, thats not really much "powerful dragon"-like. "After being in combat with champion for 4 seconds, your next damage against champion will also deal AOE base+%currenthp damage in that direction" sounds more like it
Wtf is a champion dot.
Damage over time. So think Twitch Passive.
Actually, it only procs off itself, but it procs off of any damage to players, so...
