Question about Draven with AP
Does putting AP on Draven modify his damage, or does making him a sorcerer increase his damage output significantly in any way, or are only physical items good on him?

In TFT, every "Spell" (anything that requires mana, or has a spell effect) scales to AP.
Draven's spinning axes amplify his physical damage per attack each time his mana reaches 100%.
In other words, AP amplifies the amount by which this occurs. If you have a Death Cap on Draven for example, he will have 60 AP, which will change the amplification on his axes to an upper limit of (1+2.5)*1.6 = an upper limit of 5.6 times Draven's current AD (can hit over 1000 damage)
HOWEVER; it's worth noting:
Because you're investing in AP, you're not investing in attack speed, range, or base AD boosts.
In other words, in most cases, attack speed and AD are better bets, because the damage per second is generally higher, and it charges the skill quicker. It's also worth noting that 
might not fit into an AP build.
Keep in mind that Sorcerer has another effect, btw: It speeds up how fast draven charges his stacks.
Sorcerer will not apply its 40/100% bonus, though.

Spinning Axes enhance his physical damage, so they don't scale off ability power at all.

I believe ap scales with nothing on him. It's literally a waste of gold getting ap on him. You can get rylais for the slow or liandries for the burn, but it's so small and useless that there's no point in investing that much gold for the passives since you lose out on a lot of damage for it. I'd recommend just going anything with ad, lethality, armor pen, crit on draven instead. More bang for your buck... i mean gold
