Can someone explain what makes the highlighted team so strong?

I got taken out by the rank 2 guy (who actually became rank 1 when I left) in a post dragon round. What makes this team stronger than the other 3 teams, other than the fact he has 3 3 star units, who are all tier 1?

He has no strong synergies, only 1 tier 4 unit (who is 1 star), and only has 7 units. Am I missing something, or are his 3 star tier one units really outweighing our multiple 2 star tier 4, 5, and 7 units with completed synergies and 8 units? If that's it, it seems really unreasonable.

4 ocean 2 warden 3 mage / maybe more if hats are in play

Is by no means weak.

3 star Vlad double cast does nearly 900 damage and heals for that much. Brand double cast at 1 stars does around 500 to each unit hit. Syndra roughly the same.

Thats before accounting for ocean giving them 35mp/4. Additonally Thresh has a 400hp shield.

I have no idea what map you were on but if it Ocean the problem of them being mana batteries only compounds further.

3 Inferno + 3 Mage + 4 Ocean (ignoring the wardens). Enough said.

3-stars are a big factor, especially on diana and vlad, and he has 3 inferno, 3 mages, 4 ocean and 2 wardens, and we don't know the items.

you have 2 rangers, 3 light and 2 mystik, NO YORIK(the core for every light setup) and your 3 star vayne probably gets destroyed by diana every fight.

and again, we don't know the items, which are a massive factor for the game.

It's his three stars. He has some synergy; Ocean, Mage, Inferno and Warden but the latter two are meh.

Currently in this Set certain Tier 3 Champions are stronger than having compositions through the early/mid stages of the game. Namely; Vladimir, Zyra, Diana, Ezreal, Nasus and Qiyana.

What items? That is also huge.. If zyra is a mage w/ morello, and or spear, you are dealing w/ a ton of plants esp on a double cast chance. Some 3 star units are pretty strong. Diana/zyra/vlad are in that group. I didn't even notice ocean at first for the mana regen which is another huge factor.. Unless you have a champ that can inflict grievous wounds on vlad he's gonna be popping off like nuts and he alone will need an army to take down. Vayne, even w/ items, is one of the worst 3 star champs.
