Your goal of broader play is an utter failure.

The idea of playing what you roll has not gone anywhere. Everyone just shoots for the "build" the internet recommends.

They watch a youtube and copycat it. I end up with like six opponents with the exact same 2 star deck in the game.

And it's because you did a bad job balancing these units, and since you can't so easily reach for a 3-star card, you can't counter a successful build.

At this point if someone wants to ruin your play-from-the-hip set, all they have to do is figure out which champion you're trying to hit 3 star and gather that. Then you lose, because when you do eventually get it, you'll be too far behind their Internet Build.
