Did you decide the orb resets in 3 days so people would play less TFT?

Topic. It seems like a stupid decision to me! I should have played the hell out of the new TFT set this weekend, but when I noticed I was only going to get credit for 5 games over three days, I played on my PS4 instead!

Stroke of genius!

I really do think that they want people to play less TFT. The Orb was pretty much a guide last time, - 5 matches in a day, is enough. I'll assume it's to be treated the same way now.

Speculations as to why? The game was solved fairly quickly last time... they don't want people to learn it too quickly.

Or, perhaps, they expect play to rise in pre-season anyway. (Lots of players get depressed and disgusted with SR for the first couple months, and turn to ARAM, RGM, and probably TFT this year.) (Not here to argue about why people get upset in the early season, or whether it's a lot of people. It's a phenomenon that afflicts a number of players annually, as evidenced by complaints here, other forums, etc... whatever it is, I'd expect those people to be passing time on TFT while SR straightens itself out, and maybe the administration decided that folks didn't need further encouragement.)

I think it makes people that don't play much TFT to gain some xp while some people that played alot suddenly play less maybe?

they should reward points for top 4.

5 x 40min + client and end game times => 3h30minutes.

each day?

The administration seems to have thought of this. Complete all missions and a new one pops (the next day?) up - "Play 10 games etc..."

Which begs the question, "Why bother changing the Orb?" again. Seems like nothing really changed (or maybe it's possible to earn even more points now).
