Glacial Buff needs a nerf, BADLY

Glacial buff, at 4 units, gives a 40% chance to stun, per auto. Ashe with double guinsoos VERY quickly reaches 3.0 attack speed. Ashe alone gives you at least 120% chance to stun per second, add in the other 3 units (more if you throw in two of a unit) and thats a whopping 240% chance to stun units per second, assuming a rough base of 1.0 attack speed per the other units without guinsoos. Get 6 Glacial buff, and it's gg. I faced a FAR more well put together comp, but freeze rng is enough to cripple their only hopes of beating me. Glacial is fucking busted

Get a Sword Breaker and Hush, and soon you can also get Quicksilver and other dodge items.

It doesn't need a nerf. It needs you to learn how to play around it. There's a reason Glacial teams don't usually win #1.

Voli is arguably the biggest threat on Glacial, not Ashe, because he can chain stun an entire team. If he is Hushed/Swordbreak'd, his team will usually lose half its force by the time Sejuani/Ashe become threats. Ashe won't do a lot of team CC while Sej stun is activating, and when your units start moving again, they will finish Ashe/Sej.

Hush also takes out Braum, leaving them basically no front line.

it doesn't need a nerf, it needs a rework. If you gut the numbers, it just becomes some cheese rng shit where it's usless half the time and in some matches it gets lucky for the same ol permafreeze. Still won't feel good to play against, but then it also will feel bad to use.

Though on-hit items, especially with gunslingers, are just as bad....the entier chance based CC on AAs is a horrible concept.

Just saying, 6 glacials are for real bonobos. 4 is more than enough, I'd argue 2 is even better tbh, with a stacked Ashe.

I can admit glacials is a pain in my ass.

There should be an immunity timer after getting stunned. You shouldn't be able to get permastunned since there isn't a Tenacity item in the game yet.

Something like: After the stunned effect ends the target cannot be stunned by the Glacial Trait for 4/3/2 (scaling down with units) seconds.

That's not how the maths for this works in the slightest. You can't just add independent events together like that, they multiply.

The actual way to do this is 0.6x0.6x0.6=0.216 chance to not be stunned by an Ashe AAing you per second. This means that Ashe's odds of stunning you are actually 78.4%, not 120%. This is more logical anyway, as you can go a second without Ashe stunning you, even if the odds are not in favour of it.

and that's not even taking into consideration, the fact that Volibears passive, and Lissandras ult (two of the earlier units you will have to get the 4 glacial buff on board) ALSO freeze people. Voli's is indirect, since it just procs on hit effects, but it can proc glacial buff to multiple people. And lissandra just straight up freezes someone. Not to mention Sej ult when you get her, freezes a whole GROUP of enemies, allowing you to wail on them with glacials while theyre already frozen, to guarantee a stunlock on at least one enemy. It's just way too much.
