Demon Mana burn is absurd.

For how easy it is to access demon buff and how useful it is in all parts of the game, mana burn should be nerfed. Compare this to something like Shapeshifter which requires all 3 champs AND for the ability to activate, you can see how OP demon buff is.

Demon trait got nerfed in the latest patch to be weaker with 2 and 4 demon champions but stronger with a 6 demon stack which is really noticeable. But even then, demons lack defensive units heavily, so despite their attribute effect being really strong, they are considerably easy to kill. Unless the player goes for a demon + shapeshifter dragon buff with Elise, Swain, Aurelion and Shyvanna, which is pretty hard to get.

If a demon player rushes defense items, they out-sustain pretty much every comp except for a full glacial. A T3 elise is reasonable to get or a tank t2 morg isn't hard to get either. It's the team I consistently win with , even higher than yordles, glacial and assassin.

The most tanky characters in the demon family are Aatrox and Swain and they are not tanky at all by themselves. Believe me that if you have a 6 demon stack with defensive items on morgana, you would still get obliterated by imperial+blademaster buff Draven with an actual tanky frontline

But a pure AA damage comp like imperial hypercarry draven is the perfect counter to demons, since you don't really care about mana. Yes, demons can be countered. But, they auto-win vs anything that relies on using abilities... like sorcerers and shifters,

I went against an draven comp quite a bit and the best way to play against it using demons is to go a Demon/Sorc comp and burst down draven from back line or Demon/Assassin comp with pyke running SoS for perma CC.

It's not really any worse than every other on-hit affect, whether it comes from items/synergies... Demon burn/Glacial/Shrink/Silence/Disarm.... They are all pretty equally cancer.

the problem is how do you protect yourself from it? there is no item that reduces mana burn, or makees you immune, like dragon claw.

the only way to halfway deal with it is to play yordles, and hope the demons are missing enough attacks. thats unlikely though since 85% means they dont have to sneak a lot of auto attacks through to burn your mana.

and its not like yordles themselves are balanced. there arent enough rapid fire cannons in the game to deal with a yordle comp either.

Demons just got buffed because they were the weakest origin in the game, and I personally still think they’re pretty weak on their own.

Really only good with something else. Demon is kind of a supportive strategy, IMO. Like... you’d never wanna just go 6 demons and call that your win condition.

Idk. Just an opinion. I stomp demons daily with no issues.
