Patch 9.22 will be the death of Teamfight Tactics.

Adding champions to what we already have is a great idea and I am all for it. But removing almost every champion we know of and basically doing an overhaul to the game mode in my opinion is stupid. Logic is out of the window. Zed 'The Master of Shadows' is electric type when there is shadow. Voliber that uses thunder as to deal damage is electric but Kennen that is actual thunder is removed. Zyra is a plant , but nope she is Infernal instead of WoodLand (forset type). Yorick a light type ... Aatrox from a demon got changed to light... there is not much to say. Also vlad (blood) is ocean and thresh that is some sort of demon is ocean. All of this because they have that kind of skins. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

These changes make no sense and seem more like excuses just to add more champs to the elemental origins (? ... I guess) just because it they have a skin with that theme? That does not even sound like work to me. A TFT only player might be confused by the change to ashe from glacial to crystal. The identity from ashe is totally changed.

These changes could have been done by any other small no-name company that is trying to come to the market with an auto-battler game mode just using the league of legends champion name and that's it. But a company as Riot Games to ruin this game as quick as this is unacceptable. I can't say I am surprised by this, knowing what Riot Games did to league and still struggles to repair. But it comes as a shock that the end comes this fast. Eddit: Also removing Kai'sa after not even a month of release sound pretty unprofessional if you ask me. She might be too strong or too weak or it's "hard to balance her" ... well should not have released a half done job. [zombie-brand-clap]

I just hope this is some sort out of season April fools joke. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Good. Riot blames their lack of focus on alternate gamemodes on TFT, so if it dies, maybe the actual game can receive some focus.

Its so people can't abuse the same meta over and over like they do everygame currently. I dont even play the mode due to how badly it focuses on RNG and abusing the meta

Although I've only watched a couple streams so far and not been able to get on pbe to try it myself, my only complaint with set 2 is the move away from actual lore based origins and to very generic idea like light/ocean/etc, I feel like the same thing could have been accomplished while keeping with the lore based origins themes. Switching a champs origin/class based on a skin is fine with me, the complete revamp of the champion selection is fine, keeps things fresh while fleshing out what seems to be a wider range of options. If Kai'sa is out that is a little surprising but if they intend to move to a rotation cycle for champs I'm sure she'll be back.

Changing units and synergies for combat boring it's like change a shit with another shit. You will get bored again soon. The question is why this game is boring ?

Changing units and synergies to have a better way for balancing them can be a good reason, but RIOT should explain this.

I'm not going to learn other units knowing that in the future they will change them again to not let players to get bored.

So why is the reason for changing almost all units ?

For example: LoL used the same map 5 vs 5 for years with the same champs (2-3 new units per year) and a millions of players are not bored. Tactics not Dizzy-Dice. Tactics shouldn't lead to boring so easy (few months).

The more champions there is, the harder it is to build a certain champion rank3. The more synergies there are, the harder it is to get a certain synergy. They can't just limitlessly expand champion pool

Zed 'The Master of Shadows' is electric type when there is shadow

He is with his electric skin, so there is no actual shadow Same with others you listed

That does not even sound like work to me.

Well, what sounds like work for you? Leaving all previous units untouched and doing actually nothing?

They use skins gives them a method to introduce different origins/classes for the same champion.

E.g. Cutpurse TF is currently set as a Pirate/Sorcerer using Pick a Card . If they used Musketeer TF instead, then you probably would get a Noble/Ranger using his E and will be manaless.

Skins define the champion's origin, they did use wildfire zyra over dragon sorcerer for a reason.

pfft.

TFT is doing fine. People have been saying LoL in general was going to die since like mid S3...maybe even before that.

Heroboy1010/24/2019, 1:28:19 PM1 votes

Posui Gart , The total number of units was increased from 48 to 51. The total number of synergies was increased from 23 to 24.

For the topic "element", can you call "demon" a element?? or make it become a class?

Krof Noops11/8/2019, 11:48:33 PM1 votes

I honestly don't enjoy it anymore. It got too complicated and I don't enjoy the new classes or whatever they want to call it now.

I'm not going to lie to you. I think the current TFT is absolutely pathetic. It's like a copy of DAC but just flat out worse. It's dictated by Riot's balancing decisions and the meta is ALWAYS enforced.

What they're doing now, using elements and adding their own flair to it actually impresses me. This looks MUCH more interesting than everyone copy pasting brawlers every game because that's how you gain elo. Autochess games are RNG by nature but that doesn't mean they can't be dynamic too. DAC did this well by making items much harder to build but making them feel much more rewarding if you saved up all the pieces to build something. They also implemented a lot of good standalone units like disruptor or medusa to give your team the necessary CC to counter an enemy line up. If the enemy team is all bunched up together, you could pull out an enigma to melt that closed off line up - making positioning much more important. In TFT the most you need to do for positioning is basically move your carries away from blitzcrank and position against assassins. That's it.

TL;DR - New TFT looks way more interesting/dynamic than the current TFT. I'm looking forward to how they go about balancing it. Summoners look very cool and reminds me of a comp I used to build in DAC.
