Coaching Mode: A Way Out of ELO Hell

A stand alone mode that takes into account your Rank but does not affect it.

This mode would appear as a normal draft pick. The only difference is that a sixth person would queue with your team as a coach. The coach would have access to the chat as well as the ability to ping. Coach pings would have a blue circle around them. Coach chat text would have a blue font.

Coaches: A Coach is a player (normally of a higher Rank) that offers in game advice on strategy and Character/Role mechanics.

Coach Prestige: A rating given to a coach based on their team's option of their performance. A Coach must have a certain level of Prestige to Coach at each Rank.

Flamer Coaches: This mode would offer 3 voting options at the end of a match. Good Coach Bad Coach Report Coach

Coach Reporting can me more serious than normal player reporting if the infractions are found to be true. This Report can weigh on there ability to join games themselves as well as permanent bans from coaching.

There would be long queue times but that is OK for two reasons. -Lower ranks make up a larger portion of the community and they need it more than anyone. -You should be willing to weight because you are in desire of valuable information.

There is a growing community of coaches. Why not give them a good place to start?

This sounds like something that would be really awesome to have, as someone who has been trying to get into ranked 5's having a place to practice shot calling or the overall strategy of a game this would be really good practice. There seems to be a potential issue with having coaches who always watch the map and ping all the MIA's or jungle positions. The problem this creates is it shifts that job onto the coach, so that players would get used to not having to watch the map themselves.

Good idea but it would literally do nothing. I, as a player, ask the top lane to please play safely and turret farm after falling to 0/2. "stfu noob i carry" is the general response. It would make no difference if a "coach" was asking the same thing.

Great idea!

But if the Coach can ping and chat, He could just ping MIA, and The team doesnt learn pinging, and later on somebody will say something about it.

also, I would like to play the game instead of watching and chating in another game.

BUT if I get icons from it... Im there in a summoner 4

I like the idea; however, if one didn't want to be coached, or knew s/he was being given bad advice and the team was all behind it, I feel like it could create a negative experience. It also takes out the player's mental ability to keep track of things and to weigh the individual pros/cons for trying to kill something like one more jungle camp or minion wave before grouping up.

I like the general idea, but it would only be practical if you had ten (really twelve) people who were on board with it as well.
