Why did LCS players get to play Magma Chamber, but we didn't?

For those of you who don't know, Magma Chamber is a 2 v 2 map that's been in development for a while. I forget exactly when they started working on it, but it's been at least since last year. Anyways, the map still hasn't been released yet (because it's not ready I guess) but apparently we're able to have LCS games on it. If it's ready for LCS tournaments then why can't the rest of us play it?

Sorry to ruin your whole day here but, Magma Chamber was cancelled a couple months back.

1 v 1 and 2 v 2 was originally planned to be a new, permanent game mode, but it didn't have enough community support (very few people played it towards the end of it's experimental stage), so they scrapped it along with Magma Chamber (again).

Magma Chamber has been canceled at least three times to my knowledge, coming from a player who has played since official release after beta. If anyone should know anything about Riot, it's that what they release is what you need to enjoy and focus on, not what they saw they will release. Rarely do they ever keep those promises consistently, if at all.

Sorry Rito. Be more consistent, and you wouldn't have all these posts hating on you.

This makes me very sad. I assumed that the release date had just been delayed or something. Didn't think they'd completely cancel it.

The mode was unfinished and after the failure of Snowdown 1v1 Riot decided not to release it because Dominion and Twisted Treeline are already failures and Riot didn't need another failure.
