@Riot - Feedback on the new SR Beta from a user with a decent desktop computer
On the live normal SR I can run with Medium to Medium High detail at 60 FPS no problem.
On the new SR I start at 150 FPS (uncapped) until the action starts. When I get to lane it goes down initially to 50-60 FPS. When the 2v2 bot lane matchup fights I drop to the mid 40 FPS. During team fights with 5+ champions going at it, my FPS drops to around 15-30 and chugs making team fights a mini slide show.
I'll include my DxDiag, but for a quick glance I have an AMD Phenom II Quad Core 2.6 Ghz CPU with 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard with 700 GB free, a Radeon R7-250 video card with 2 GB DDR3 (released one year ago, purchased a few months ago), and I am running Windows 7. I updated the graphics driver specifically to test out the new SR Beta and I set Shadows to Off, other details to Very Low, disabled Vsync and disabled HUD Animations. I am running at 1920x1080 resolution with a 24" LCD monitor.
As an avid supporter of LoL, I have played since Beta in 2009 logging somewhere around 4000 games and I even made an appearance in the 2010 WCG tournament (on team Last Minute). As-is, if this were to go live I would no longer be able to play SR as team fights become a slide show rather than the smooth game interaction we have today. I really like the idea of new changes, I just don't want the game to become unplayable because of them.
With this in mind, please delay the release of the new SR until all performance issues have been reasonably addressed. I really don't want to stop playing League because of frame rate drops during crucial game moments.
Thanks for all your hard work! LightningFst
