Why the hell is it the Team Captain's fault if people keep leaving the room?

Seriously? Why does Riot flag the 15 billion impatient douches who leave any room without the typical meta as being "kicked", so I start getting the delay as if I'd kicked them?

Sure, fine, you don't know how to play anything but what you see in LCS. That's alright, you're welcome to leave. But I shouldn't be punished for people leaving because they don't like the teamcomp. That's just stupid.

The longer I've been waiting the better my chances of getting people should be, I shouldn't be delayed from getting new people just because I've had to sit in a room for 30 minutes to get anything but top laners or Marksman bots.

I made a post a while back about a TB match that had a Sion ADC and Malph Support on my team and it was the most fun game I've ever played. I think people should be more open to off-Meta picks in normals. You never know when a champ might actually do well in a different position and make the game fun.

I think you should, as a solo "Joiner," should also get to select what type of composition you're willing to join. Any or Classic meta? Or maybe add several more options that are as equally customizable as the team captain. This would reduce the lobby hopping significantly I think.

Just today I kept getting a bunch of top laners that didn't work with my team and I was up to a 25 second wait but I was ok with it because I declined them all. I got someone and accepted them, 3 seconds later they left, and left me with a 28 second wait timer for another top laner. Not the end of the world but Rito plz. :D

I completely understand your agony because people leaving is very annoying an it takes longer to play a 20 min+ game. Simple solution play with as many friends as you can so that this problem doesn't exist. In addition find friends that play those lesser roles like Support or Jungle that way that can minimize your wait time. It seems to work for me very well. I use to main jungle earlier this season, an support in season 4 so my wait times have never been too bad, however now that I'm main rolling AD carry my wait times are a bit longer when my friends aren't online but its never been like 30 minutes. I know it sucks but it'll get better soon enough.

I joined a team builder game the other day with a scarner ADC. Never again. In Team Builder each person is really a captain when you think about it. I don't souly stick to meta champs and don't mind if my team doesn't BUT I can smell a bad team comp from a mile away and am not going to stick around and be tortured for 20+ minutes.

If I don't have at least 3 people to start a team builder group I solo queue team builder or join another mode.

I went Skarner adc once, was 25/5 at the end of the game It's a normal game, let people try out stuff If it works it's good, if it doesn't work then oh well, you didn't really lose anything I played a game yesterday with two of my buddies and the top and mid lane left both after feeding one kill each at lvl 4 (probably premade) It was one of the best/most fun games I played in a long time Of course we didn't have any chance of winning but we just had fun and tried to hold out for as long as possible (we managed to get to 30+ mins) If it had been ranked I probably would've been mad as hell, but considering it was a normal game I really didn't care TL;DR: It doesn't matter if you win or not, all that matters is that you keep up your positive attitude and just try having fun, it's a normal game ffs

If I play a champion a hundred time in a position there is going to be at least one time where it is going to works amazingly purely because sometimes multiple mistakes are made in such a way that it is allowed to happen. This does not mean it is something that can ever be consistent. Skarner can not even 25% of the time pull off being successful at ADC. If you watch any break the meta stream you will often hear then reference how many times it took them to get a good video. I play many champions that are not common but fit into roles. Skarner does not fit into that role whatsoever I experienced it first hand and I am glad you had a game like you did, but no.

Logically you can reverse this statement and say that it will work most of the time and the times it doesn't would just be that you had a bad game or the other team just outplayed you. Just because it's not a meta pick doesn't mean it can't work out. The meta is always changing, you should keep a more open mind. It really will help you enjoy the game a lot more.

Show me a skarner match history with at least 20game as ADC with a 40% win rate on top of that 40% I want to see at least a 2.5 KDA. I don't care if I win or lose but winning is the objective of the game and I would rather not play a game where I may as well have been dancing with Gromp all game.

It's not really about Skarner as an ''Attack Damage Carry'' Bruiser/Support bot was played in professional play all the time (before the adc support meta began) Just because something is considered ''unconventional'' doesn't mean it has a small chance of working out I've seen two guys spamming Rengar/Thresh bottom lane in ranked and have about 85% winrate with it (in Plat if I recall correctly)

There are reasons rengar is successful in this role. He has a zero cooldown free gap closer, a snare that you can have up every 10 seconds, great sustain for that extra damage punishment floor being melee, good escape and engage. Let's just say skarner faces a Vayne. You tell me how he is going to win? Maybe your support will land some CC so you can get in range but as soon as you do you are just going to get condemned away.

One game I played with a Poppy Alistar botlane duo.

Somehow, we completely annihilated the enemy team that game.

But Skarner in-lane is something I would never be willing to spend 20 minutes of my day giving a random player a chance at it. And this is coming from someone who used to main him.
