New game mode: Raid Bosses

We've all heard the phrase 'raid boss <insert champion>' to describe a top lane tanky bruiser that has farmed their way to unkillable status. The Darius or Nasus who can 1v5 your team. What if there were a temporary featured game mode revolving around that idea?

You can queue as a team or a raid boss, but a team of 5 won't just take on one raid boss - they'll be taking on a series of progressively harder raid bosses.

To start, the team of 5 begins the game at level 1 with 500g to spend a piece. They will take on a randomly selected lvl 6 champion from the 'raid boss queue'. Initially, from the raid boss side of things, you queue as a lvl 6 champion of your choice with 2000g to spend.

The mode will be played on the Howling Abyss map with turrets and fountain damage disabled. Obviously you will get to see which champion you are going up against, so purchase items accordingly!

2 ways to expand on the idea:

If Riot really wanted to spice things up, they could allow groups to re-queue with the progress they've made only so long as they've won, and match them up against a Raid boss with an equal number of wins, capping at 3 or 5. Kind of like how the Doom Bots had tiers of difficulty - if your group has won 2 consecutive raid boss battles, and you re-queue, you'll be put up against a raid boss who has won 2 consecutive matches as well. Summoner Icon rewarded for reaching the win cap with the same party/boss.

Alternatively, a single queue could pit you against the same player who has pre-selected 5 different raid bosses: If you beat his first level 5 raid boss, you then must face the next champion he chose, this time with an extra level of experience and 500g additional to spend. If you don't beat his first boss, you still get sent back to base to heal, but fight the second raid boss also at level 5, and on and on until you run the gamut of his 5 champions. Summoner Icon rewarded for not dropping a match, either as a group or as a boss.

This mode would probably need something to balance out the queues, so perhaps extra IP could be rewarded for the less-queued for side, or, they could not let you queue to be the boss again until you've queued and completed a game from the 5 man raid group side of things.

Obviously numbers would be up in the air for balance's sake when it comes to starting levels and gold, but since Riot doesn't have a sandbox mode, this isn't an easy thing to test :P
