1v1 Gamemode

Remember that the only way to make Rito see these type of things is to like it and comment on it!

When two people on the Rift are arguing about who is better, there is a solution that is commonly found. They solve it in a 1v1 of skill, played on the Howling Abyss map.

These 1v1s can be varied in how they are played, so it essential to acknowledge these types of 1v1s, whilst it is also necessary to keep the gamemode compact, as to prevent hours of queue time. In this I believe there would be four ways the 1v1s would be played.

There is the ranked and unranked division of course. The overall rating would be kept in one rank, seperate from all your other ranks.

The first game type would be mirror. This is a very common type of 1v1, and it is understandable that this would be the most frustrating to play. When you enter queue you enter a list of champions that you are willing to mirror with. The longer the list, the lower the queue time. This would come in ranked and unranked.

The second game type would be a blind draft that is not mirror. Each player chooses three champions that they refuse to play against. Then, without knowing the other player's champion, they each pick their own. This could be based on the bans given, and who those champions counter. This would also come in ranked and unranked.

I have a feeling the first 1v1 type would be more commonly played, as it is a higher display of skill. However I feel that the second gamemode is a nice option for those who are willing to go in without knowing their opponent.

Thoughts?
