@Riot, So, Twisted Treeline and Crystal Scar.
Are they ever going to be a part of pro play? Or are they just for the casual League players forever?

The closest thing to competitive will probably be various tournaments. Although I'm not sure if there are any in OCE. I doubt we'll get anything near LCS-level.
Riot's too afraid of compromising "their brand." They won't risk letting a superior mode to watch take the spotlight for even a second.
Those maps are designated IP farming maps for bots, and Riot's otherwise chosen to forget they exist outside of very minor maintenance.
