Allow teams to surrender at 10 minutes. 20 minutes for a game mode that is supposed to, by design, be a little over half the length of Summoner's Rift games, is offensively dumb.
Make champion select fully random by allowing players to potentially receive any champion, not just the ones they own/the ones on free week.
Two changes. That's all I want.
disregardable1 votesNeither of those things fix the actual problem with ARAM, which is unbalanced team compositions. There's no actual way to fix that in an all random situation, and in fact opening up the champion pool to ALL champions would only exacerbate it.
4nth0l0gy1 votesHow does opening the champion pool to all champions exacerbate the problem of people using accounts specifically for ARAM, or buying champions specifically based on their ARAM capability? I'm not saying it's a perfect fix, but Riot is not trying to balance ARAMs, so this is the least they could do to keep it from being oppressive.
disregardable2 votesMost people that play ARAM don't do that, and the people that DO play aram are forced to be balanced against 10 other champs of all the roles in the meta.
Essentially, while restricting it to the current available champs increases your chances of seeing Master Yi, it also decreases your chances of getting a team that are ALL assassins, ALL mages, ALL supports, etc. Those games still do happen, it is random of course, but they happen less frequently.
Besides, why should you be entitled to play a champion you don't have access to?

ThatAutofillSupp1 votesyeah… while all champions being available might be fun and help a small bit, it won't even put a dent in the problem….. some matches are just unbalanced and you can't do anything about it tbh. i agree with the surrender aspect though, it is not fun when you have to play against perfect comp team and you only have a few melee damagers and they have poke/sustain/ aoe, then they choose to be assholes and dance at your nexus/basekill for the next 10 minutes
