[TTT] So you wanted to break the Mage dominance...but it backfired horribly

Twisted Treeline Aura These days, double AP comps have been very dominant in the meta, so we're trying to reduce those that focus on non-stop push / waveclear. MAP-WIDE MANA REGENERATION AURA 1.5% of missing mana ⇒ 0.7% of missing mana

Some noble intentions indeed. But the situation now is as follows:

  • Mages have a lot of itemization available to get rid of their mana-gating, so it´s no problem for them to just get a tear/chalice and be golden...sure, double dorans isn´t enough anymore on most, but it didn´t hurt them much
  • Bruiser, especially AD really have troubles with mana now - and lack itemization to fix that, as essence-reaver isn´t available in TTT and muramana just needs too much time on most

so all in all you just shifted the meta more in favour of mages actually, achieving the opposite of your goals

p.s.:

as a side note...having jungle timers in 5v5 but not in 3v3 is a little inconsistent.

I don't play TT much, so I can't speak to the majority of your post, but...

as a side note...having jungle timers in 5v5 but not in 3v3 is a little inconsistent.

There are no red/blue buff in TT, so I don't think camp timers makes sense. Altar and Vilemaw timers, though? That, I could get behind.

I totally agree, the mages u wanted to hit have enough options to gain manaregen, especially with either a tear-start or doubledorans, while ad-assasins, which usually counter mages, suffer alot from the regen nerf. Pretty much everyone besides mages suffers alot from the regen nerf....

The problem lies not in mages, but in how important and powerfull waveclear is in TT.
