theory about old swain and him covering his face

so for some time i've had a theory about why swain covers the lower half of his face and i'd like to have it put to rest

i think hes covering up his face cuz he has a disgustingly hooked nose, like so hooked that it goes into his mouth, and he doesnt want anyone to see

can any rioters tell me whether this is true/false?
