Dear Champ-Designer: if you are unmotivated or don't care about the theme you have been given...
... please step down from the task and let someone take over who actually wants work with the concept.
Because this is the first thing I thought when seeing the new champ and her voicelines: there's no authenticity, every single possibility with the theme has been left out, there's no inlore-consistency, and the character is just plain and simple BORING. It's like you had a generic gameplay kit that somehow looks like a previously scrapped and now refurbished proto-version of Kha'Zix, and simply thought "oh well let's create a placeholder so we can dump this kit into the game".
Look, I don't mind reusing old stuff in terms of mechanics, but I do mind when such blatant lazyness is thrown into my face as a player.
It is clear that the designer took the dominant theme, in this case "symbiont fighter" and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing with it. Congratulations, all you created in an completly exchangeable "generic sexy fighter". Not that I'd mind, but the Void is LITERALLY THE LAST PLACE you'd put such a character in.
If I were a teacher I wouldn't just have failed you for this for missing the topic. Nono, I would have failed you, and then proceeded to have you read every single Marvel comic Venom or Carnage appeared, had you marathon every single bit of Kill la Kill (oh but you knew that one already. That copy-paste design is way too obvious) and Parasyte, and then send you out to do some more reasearch on anything that's even remotely "body horror through other lifeform" related.
Look, I don't mind sexyness in my games, but if that is literally all your character has going for it, with no in-lore coherence, no personality, no other theme she builds on, no other aesthetic and no authenticity at all, you have failed as a designer. And if this was the very best you could do, then maybe, MAYBE you should reconsider your choice of profession.
This all could have been avoided if there had been just a bit, a LITTLE BIT of creativity and effort involved. If you had tweaked her kit so her usually well-looking body deforms in grotesque ways to form a biological weapon arsenal, if her voice-lines were formed into a mad bloodlusty glibberish of two entities, with some rare lucid moments of human speech thrown into it, if you had used the contrast effect of an attractive default form and a truly terrifying "real" form, if if if... all the things you could have done, but you didn't.
Because you were a lazy unmotivated guy who just wanted to get this done because "ugh the boss said we need to make Kassadin's daughter a champ so let's get over with it" - because this is EXACTLY what it looks like, and I'm pretty sure I am spot on with that. After all, at uni I do literally nothing besides taking the designs of other creators apart to analyze them, and given that I could see as much on the first glance, I doubt I even need to use much of my expertise to fully say: you, as a designer, have failed.
Sigh here I thought a new champ might get be back to playing this game after Riot started steering this game into a horrid direction for seasons now. I had not been expecting much, but this is not just disappointing, it's more of an direct insult that you think you can put this in front of your players and expect them to like it.
