A Question About New Skins Nowadays

First let me start by saying I've seen the upcoming skins on the PBE patch and they look amazing. Love the concept of space pirate gangplank (very Starcraft/Warhammer 40k feeling to it) and I'm excited for the warring kingdoms skins, especially Vi. And not to say that the other skins like Snowdown or the heart seeker skins are bad, they are great too, I'm just prefer the skins before a bit more.

But now what I want to ask is this: Why are there so many high quality skins coming out right now? To try and clarify it, the recent skins both coming in the works and released recently have all been fairly high priced in the 1350 range. That's not to say no cheaper skins are being released like the recent D&D parody skin and the Aztec god themed skins but with the Snowdown, Pool Party, Star Guardian, Dark Star, Super Galaxy, Program, and the new skins right now I almost feel like I'm going to get into crippling debt just by wanting to buy all of them. Now don't get me wrong, I'm willing to pay up for high quality skins and I do appreciate the new visuals and particles that go along with them. I'm just more or less curious as to why so many of these high quality skins are being made so frequently now cause it feels like they've made more of a appearance in just this year.

Once in a while they would make 750-tier skins that changes just the model.

But since it's the holidays and the cosmetic events are around the corner, they gotta make stuff extra special. Heck, even in April Fool's 3 of the new skins are 750-tier.

I guess they produce a lot of 1350-skins because these skins likely sell the most(or at least have the best money/output ratio),especially since most of these skins are legacy skins(the exceptions being the heartseeker skins and gps skin),thus people will most likely buy them to their full price

And I can also imagine that it is more fun to make a 1350-skin than a lower one, because the 1350 allows the skin to add more to the skin, thus making it feel more complete.

Two reasons.

1.) Holiday season. 'nuff said.

2.) They are constantly trying to push the envelope on what they can make and the quality they're at. Because of this, 1350 is the price tag they put on things that came out better than previous skins (while not being ultimate). For example, Heartseeker Quinn makes for a good 950 skin, though I'm sure the way she looks and everything she has would have made for a good 1350 skin a year or 2 ago.
