Is the Void related to Shurima, to Mount Targon, or both?

I always thougth that Icathia shared with Shurima a similar relation to what the Shadow Isles and Bilgewater have: Both places are near each other, share cultural similarity, and Shurima is always being invaded/infested with Void creatures just like Bilgewater tends to be invaded by the Shadow Isles ghosts (especially during the Harrowing). Not to mention, on the old map, Icathia is located on the Shurima desert. And lastly, all of the Voidborn's names are Shuriman in origin.

However, the recent lore changes aparently link Icathia to the Mount Targon, which makes me confused. After all, to which place is Icathia/the Void related?

No, the void is not related to anything as far as we know, BUT Shurima, Targon and Icathia are related to the Void... which is different.

They both probably just get a lot of Void portal openings near those areas.

The Void appears to exist contemporaneously with all physical reality. Things come crawling through wherever the veil is worn threadbare.

The void is a whole different plane of existence.

Given Aurelion sols commentary on the void creatures,it is likely that there are void creatures on other planets as well,so it isn't bound to certain locations.

However both Shurima and Targon seem to have problems with Void gates. Targon is infested with void horrors and all the void champs(the ones that come from the void) have shuriman names,implying that they first appeared there.

The Void is related to anything it can touch.

So far we know that Shurima is the place that resents more. Targon itself showed up a form of corruption in Aurelion Sol lore but it does not look something specific to that place, since those portals are an universal phenomenal. But is not strictly tied to anything, so far there could even be a portal into the Shadow Isles but they never told us yet, because that' s completely plausible.
