When can we expect a new Cass skin?

First of all, I'm well aware that there's a board for Skin and Champion CONCEPTS, but what I want to talk about isn't about skin ideas. It's about the lack of attention for a certain champion. And I think the people in charge of the art department might be able to give me some insight on that. After all you're the ones who come up with all the official skins, right?

It has been over two and half years already since she received her last one (Jade Fang Cass), meanwhile champions like Ahri seem to get a new one pretty much every year. I can't shake the feeling that the skin department is mostly focusing on "popular" champions when it comes to releases.

So let me ask you, what about older champions who have been swept under the carpet just because they aren't part of the meta anymore? How come we haven't seen anything new for Cass yet after all this time?

I feel you, and I think that Cassie, along with Swain, Brand and Kennen, deserve a new skin, along with a proper VU and a VFX (Other then Brand, who just got 1).

Lol I just found out that they released ahri exactly one year after cassiopeia.

Anyway,while Ahri has one skin more than cass,we shouldn't leave out that Cass got a visual update that reworked 4 of her 5 models(I think jade fang was unchanged,not sure about that) and she also received a chroma pack.

What Cass received wasn't a VU, it was a controversial texture update which lowered or changed the amount of detail in her current skins. Her Desperada skin is the biggest example of a downgrade, it doesn't even resemble her splashart anymore.

She also didn't receive any new animations, her tail movement still isn't as liquid as the one of Vel'koz' tentacles nor does she have a recall animation.

A cheaply done set of chromas isn't enough to make up for the lack of care she has received, it's just a cheap move after all the gutting she has received (gameplay, lore- and aesthetic wise).

Regardless if you liked the update or not,it was still a VU. Not a complete one like Tristanas,but a Texture,model update similar to that of Alistar,or Singed.

In the end,the VU still took as much work as making 4 new skins for her,so they've put more work into cass,then they did with ahri,even if you may not like the results.

You're absolutely wrong about the amount of effort that was invested into this update, the Shurima event itself was heavily rushed and so were the changes which accompanied them. Mythic and Jade Fang Cass weren't altered at all, they merely received some slight color changes due to being a lot newer.

The only skins which were truly affected by this update were her Desperada and Siren skins - aswell as her classic one. Now even if we ignore my opinion on the quality of these changes, they're still very superficial. She didn't receive any modelchanges as I stated before, all they did was swap some textures. There are fans out there who already do the very same thing on various workshop sites.

Ahri has received far more attention and care than Cass could ever hope to get, they always considered her a black sheep which is why they left her out of any public appearances in their media (meanwhile Ahri is literally everywhere), going as far to ignore her plight in the meta for months without a single word about her state or any changes in sight.
