Old Man Xin
http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120617131018/leagueoflegends/images/a/ad/Xin_Zhao_ImperialSkin.jpg Here's a list of elements that comprise the "Old Man Xin" fan-canon, of which I devised. It was inspired by his Imperial Skin, which I think fits him a lot better since his lore paints him as a man who knew Jarvan II. Tell me what you think.
- Sixty years old. Unlike most old or ancient champions, of which there are plenty of, he's actually aged. He's worn down, and past his prime, but still fit. As such, he has the right to be both grumpy and wise.
- Snatched away from Ionia by Noxian privateers as a boy.
- Thrown into the fighting pits when he proved too rowdy to be a slave.
- Became one of the deadliest gladiators in Noxus, known as Viscero.
- Rescued by, sequentially saved, and later befriended a king (Jarvan II).
- Was offered a chance to return to Ionia, but turned it down to serve with Jarvan and liberate those who hadn't yet been freed from Noxus' tyranny. But to pay homage to his homeland and mark the beginning of his new life, took the name Xin Zhao (信趙), meaning "faith/trust" and "nimble".
- Couldn't become a knight or receive any noble title due to his foreign birth, but still loyally served Jarvan II.
- Was the combat instructor for Jarvan III and IV, training them in the ways of unorthodox "dirty" combat and how to counter those styles; also trained the Dauntless Vanguard similarly, which includes Garen.
- Served Demacia forty years.
- Practical member of the Jarvan family and living Demacian legend.
I did an estimate. Mind you, this has probably been rendered moot by Sion's new lore of being centuries old, yet killing Jarvan I, but what the heck... maybe there was a break in Demacian rulership after Jarvan I's death, then the royal family regained control and the timeline resumes as normal.
If Xin (20 yrs) was rescued by Jarvan II (30 yrs), who befriended Xin and asked him if he could train his son, Jarvan III (10 yrs), in the ways of pit-fighting and how to counter various combat styles Xin encountered in the arena, that would put Xin roughly at the age of 60 circa present League day, presuming that the Jarvans always had their son at age 20.
