why does the lore team keep lore away from us?

in the recent Q&A it was mentioned that ekko actually has parents and is not a orphan. if this is the case then who is his parents and why does his parents allow him to be alone and robbing ppl off the streets of zaun at night?

they also did this with vi and jinx, for example not revealing who jinx's sister is AND teasing to why jinx has such a high fixation in vi even tho vi isnt her sister. so this goes beyond just ekko, but this post would get insanely long if i listed all of the champions who has lore that is being hidden and kept top secret by riot.

i dont understand why you guys keep so much interesting lore to YOURSELF and not release it to the community. that is so selfish...

seriously, if you release full volume comics for each champion that tells there COMPLETE story then do it and sell it for RP. id buy it and many others would too. stop hiding things from us.

A good overarching story has been proven to be an amazing marketing tool. The Dark/Demon souls/Bloodborne series and ALL of Mortal Kombat are proof of exactly that.

Dummies who don't understand the market appeal of a well-told story need to pay attention to Box Office numbers and try to work out what the heck people are doing at movie cinemas when the gameplay's so linear and lacks a character creation system.

BUT THAT SAID;

LoL has reached a point where it's practically world-wide. They don't feel the need to advertise through word of mouth gossip about the latest development in Valoran politics. And they might be right. Iunno - I don't have access to their numbers. :P

and sell it for RP

Lmao having to pay for Lore, new era! Wouldn't work though as wiki sites can just take snap shots of it or record it. You'd just pay for the interactions. Meh, probably people are actually willing to spend money on that lol.

Simply because revealing everything at once doesn't leave much more for the future.

Not to mention that they release nowadays more short stories than actual character-bios and they want to tell us stuff like this through these short stories(if they do a good job with that or not is another matter),but there is only so much that you can put into one story like this without making the short story feel like an info-dump.
