Around 2-3 threads from yesterday, and around 1 thread today, and has gained 15 up votes and many other upvotes on peoples comment about her ugly in other other threads no matter what it gets down voted, why did Riot even changed the splash art on Ahri's flawless 2011 splash art to the one we have now? Now im not saying everything about it is bad, theres just some things that don't represents her personality. She's lacking brightness and has a dark background in the picture which doesn't really show the beauty or the innocent personality of her from what was said in the lore, her face/body is completely pale white which looks like shes looks bewitching cruel, but her eye colour are fine but... its just that they look more of a human eye than a cute fox eye's, if you compare it between the one we have now and the old one, if you look closer my full sizing it, looking far dosent really fully show it

Reverting it back to the 2011 is impossible now, but I just want to tell this to Riot the next time they make a new Ahri Splash in the distant future, Please Riot :I

I've stared at the new Ahri splash for eons and I still don't understand why people have a problem with it.

Beauty? If anything she's more conventionally beautiful in her new splash, what with the vibrantly colored lips, more slender face, and seductive pose. Innocence? Ahri is the antithesis of an innocent character. That's sort of the idea of her entire backstory, actually. The darkness of the new splash reflects that. More "human" eyes? How many people do you know who have bright gold irises? It's true she doesn't have the vertical pupils of a fox, but you could just barely make that out in the original splash anyway.

I also really like how the newer splash showcases her tails; in the old one they were just flailing around, whereas in the new they're more focused and sort of envelop her.

Her old splash only conveyed one thing to me: Heaving breasts. I'm glad that shit is gone. It was an eyesore and made her look bad.

Her new splash isnt great, but its better than before.

Lol you talk about her innocent personality.....when it is known that she seduced men to take their souls...

I mean yes she had a change of heart,but I think it is hard to believe,that she did a 180° and is now a completely innocent girl,especially when you listen to her VO.

Knockwurst, the one who made the original Ahri splash, has an excellent v2.0 of his splash. It gives her much more personality, a pleasing color scheme that doesn't edge too much on the dark and also looks damn good.

I hope Riot considers this as the replacement splash for the current one but I doubt it, since they seem to be working towards some kind of motion blurr theme in their splashes.

Or better yet, why don't we have Paul Kwon draw the splash? I loved his take on Challenger Ahri and Bloodmoon Elise. I love his work. Let him make a rendition of Ahri's art work :D

I just hate Ahri as a concept. Her entire theme is about sex appeal and using lust as a weapon, and it just sickens me.

I'm sorry, you have no idea what you are talking about. Color contrast and brightness? Ahri's face is bright because of the contrast dark background. Ahri's current splash has a more lively feel to it. The current splash portrays movements, volume, and texture. The previous splash looks nice, but it just felt like any other 2D drawing. No offense to the artist, but I've seen 2D anime postures/pictures that made the character feel alive. Your criticism of the current splash don't have any legitimate ground to stand on.

Why can't they just make it so your game portrait is of the face of the skin? Sure it'l be a lot more work, but hey the fans will feel more incentive to buy skins in the long run, and it'll make the game more interesting. Some might say, "well it can be misleading." well then why not just have the opponent see the default icon and only YOURSELF can see the splash difference? Now before we go into how much work it'll actually takes, people have done that for custom skins, for free. Riot is a multi billion dollar living legend, it can go the extra mile.
