Star Guardian Single Bundles are a Ripoff!

(also keep in mind that I did the math with already having these champs owned)

Here's the thing with the separate bundles: The new skins cost 1350 (1820 for the Ahri skin), the icons normally would cost 250 but from what I've seen so far you can't but them separately yet (if ever), so that would lead to the bundles costing roughly 1600 for 4 of them and 2070 for Ahri. We're paying 1775 and 2245 for these things: That's an extra 175 each, 875 total if we were to but them separately.

Meanwhile the Mega bundle actually feels like your saving on stuff with the price of 8463. Combining the total prices of the skins, the icons (normally) and the ward, that leads to 9110. 9110 - 8463 = 647 RP save. Buying all the separate pack individually (don't know why but you might know someone who might), again would mean wasting 875 RP, 1515 if you decided to buy the ward as well.

Why is it that if someone wants to buy a single bundle rather than the mega bundle they have to be charged more for what they're buying basically? It's a rip off! Maybe I don't want to but the mega bundle with every single new skin and border, maybe I just want the MF bundle. So why do I have to basically pay extra for that? Why is the Mega bundle the only thing that is actually helping me save my RP right now if I buy it? Why is buying one of these single bundles for a stupid loading border more expensive combined than the mega bundle that gives the same thing + a ward? If we're going by the logic that the 175 if for the borders, then why isn't that implied to the mega bundles **or even priced at all !!?!?!?!?!??? **

I'm not fucking paying an extra 175 for a loading border god dammit!

But PROJECT and other borders were free, simply cause they were limited edition themed merchandise. Yeah, I don't like that the bundles basically say, "That'll be an extra 175 RP for the art fee." Wish they would have just brought back the original pattern of "Be there first, get the border that proves it."

They count on younger people, without a true sense of money (AKA parents' wallet). Sad.

I'd like it if the skin borders were unlocked through Missions rather than RP purchases. As it stands, there aren't many satisfying rewards to reap from the SG quests in spite of them being so difficult to complete.

I did the deed and bought the MissFortune and Soraka bundles as I had planned...

The sudden price hike on things that used to be "free on early purchase" or earned through missions made me feel a bit dirty.

Don't make me feel dirty rito [cass-cry]

Oh I didnt see this thread before making a similar one. I 100% agree. It feels bad, and I've seen a lot of comments on here, reddit, and S@20 saying it feels dirty. It really does feel dirty.

I planned on getting Ahri & MF with the first come first serve borders, but now I can't. Literally an extra 875 RP. Almost the price of a full skin. That feels bad and I am not encouraging Riot by caving in to it.

"reads title" won't stop thousands of people from buying it though.

It's a real disappointment is what it is, I was psyched to get my first ever loading screen border, only to find out I have to pay extra for it. Not getting it then I'll just be happy with the skins. I guess...

Edit: I changed my mind gonna buy it anyways

  1. Because they try to encourage you to throw as much money at them as possible and buy as big bundle as possible. "Muh business model".

  2. Because people are either dumb enough or devout enough to buy it anyway so why bother not draining as much money as possible. "Muh business model".
