for example how are you gonna tell me that those phat titz aren't counter-productive to a ninja? is lifting those 50 lb hextech gloves a hundred times a day. those phat tittaes will burn away quick and turn into pecs.

just seems like if you want to be a top tier fighter/warrior/assassin, having big heavy massive titz hurts more than it helps.

last thing ill say is, i've never seen a girl with big tits run fast.

olympic athletes don't have huge tits either.

sure seems like riots going with the whole "sex sells" thing right now.

is the exception, but to be honest she caters to the "LOL EDGY!1!!!1OFFENSIV!1!!!!21ONE" demographic.

edit: i feel like this is getting downvoted because people think i'm a part of the "stop objectifying women" thing. i'm not.

i just think it makes absolutely no sense that the best female warriors runeterra has to offer all have huge DD tits. big boobs are highly impractical in combat and for movement.

The last champion that Riot released with a clear female physique was Lissandra, in April 2013. Nearly 3 years ago! All female champions released since then have clearly a different body type Jinx Kalista RekSai Kindred Illaoi Even the last few champions before that Quinn Nami have their bazompers a lot less prevalent then older champions like Sona and MF.

The thing is, this is a fantasy game, and people will try to make characters look, well, fantastic or desireable in many ways. For males this means a lot of nearly unobtainable muscle, social highground or visible hardship and for women smooth skin, spotless face, shiny hair and some overexaggerated female traits, like hips and boobs.

That being said, Riot clearly tries to have a lot more different female body types as of late, and that's nice.

Overall there are several reasons: -if a person is born with big boobs,then thats that. Yes it would likely be better for akali if she had smaller breasts,but its not like she could choose her breast size.

-Riot focused a lot more on fanservice in the early days,thus we've got many champs with huge racks.

-In the earlier days their tech was more limited,giving female champs big breasts was an easy way to make the champ more feminine,so they were easier to design that way

-It simply fits for certain character types,like seductresses ( Ahri Cassiopeia MissFortune ) or physical powerful champions ( Illaoi ,though illaois aren't even that big,her muscles are bigger than her breasts )

How come roughly all humanoid male champions look muscular or attractive? Why can't they make more fat, ugly, or malnourished champions to cater to me?? Why is this fantasy video game not like real life????

One word: Money. Riot can't do anything but think about money, can't even be bothered to look at their God damned game. Thing is, sex sells, especially feminine sexuality.

So, of course Riot would make people look like they have balloons under their skin. Even if it doesn't make sense.

It's simply sex-appeal. I feel like Riot is trying to break away from the necessity and include more variety for their female champions, but games have been this way for a long time due to monetary supplementation. A decent length of time spent on the internet, say in an art forum like DeviantArt or watching Anime will show you that it happens rather regularly in other arenas as well.

Ummm, Akali's breasts are pretty small on her current splash art and model. It´s most likely an A cup.

For Vi, well...last i checked Ronda Rousey wasn´t flat chested. Besides, Vi's most likely a woman who eats a lot, but exercises a lot whenever she can to compensate. D cup. Probably bigger.

Leona, Kayle and Diana seem to have big ones, but that´s their armor. I´m pretty sure they all have B cups. C cups, tops.

MF squeezes hers into that top, so that might make her run better.

Jinx is flat chested, but heck she's from Zaun. That´s like, steampunk Chernobyl or something like that.

Olympic athletes seem to not have big boobs. In fact, some have, but much like MF, squeeze them in order to minimize their effect on performance by wrapping a long bandage around them real tight.

As for body type not making sense: It's a fantasy game. Fantasy usually avoids certain laws of reality because it looks "cool"

Best example of this would be the big sword phenomenon.

Tryndamere 's sword is more of a slab of metal. It would be too heavy to use properly, let alone with one hand. Darius 's axe has the same problem and Draven 's...weapons are also very unrealistic.

But they are cool.

Now what is cool or interesting is very relative, but some things do seem in common among the general audience. Very large swords are common amongst fantasy fiction (more so in comics and manga rather than literature). And games used (and probably still mainly focus towards) a male audience. So Riot in making characters probably decided, "We need sexy chicks"

Riot has admitted that they used the same model of most of their female characters. This was saving resources as they did not have the technology they have today in their first few years. But now they do and with the introduction of Illaoi I look forward to more female champions with more realistic or variety in their models.

I'd like female champions that have body types like Sion and Gragas (obviously not outright copying). But I don't want them to have those body types for the sake of having those body types. I (and a lot of people) want those body types to make sense for them.

Now a lot of past champions may not follow this desire (Like Shyvana , but I guess that's dragon genetics), but it takes a lot of resources to redo old models. Unless there is a specific reason to update the model (which usually requires new animations, which are only added in VGUs) then they won't update them.

Currently this is the problem that Pantheon and Mordekaiser face. Pizza feet.

Anyway, the reason these champions look like this is because what riot had planned for them. Is it pandering? Probably. Should you enjoy these champions less because their builds don't make as much sense when you consider their character or fighting style? Probably not. Seriously, who zooms in close enough to notice this shit in the first place? Or is the splash art on the loading screen too harrowing for you to stare at without picking it apart and asking yourself about their... ahem "phatass titties"?

I mean, it's not like Riot hasn't changed silly things in the past... need we revisit Sejuani's bikini armor? Yeah, that would be very effective in the sub-zero temperatures of the freljord. So they fixed it.

At the end of the day, these questions are pointless, because you know why riot did it and you know it's not going to change. Seriously, what is the point of this thread?

I'm honestly confused as to what people think these threads could possibly accomplish.
