The ONE thing that bothers me about Viktor's story:
It is true that bullies pick on the weakest target and are neither brave or smart, but if they are a) stronger than you and b) outnumber you, chances are they are more likely gonna beat you up to teach you a lesson than running away when you stand up to them. (Source: Me. The real part of "standing up to your bullies" only starts there, when you beat the shit out of them. Or one of them, that's usually enough.)
I know, I know, the Viktor story is in the end just a story, and we all love our tropes and clichees in our stories, and I as someone with a degree in Media Studies shouls know this better than anyone, but still, this just irks me.
I hope it they ran away not because he opposed them, but because they feared Viktor gave him a massive flamethrower dong or whatever silly but lethal weaponary their tiny brains could come up with. Just for the sake of it being a bit less clichee and a tad more realistic.
