Why did the horned woman leave Vayne alive that night? (Potential Darkin Lore?)

I mean, you don't leave witnesses after a crime and even when you are a sadist you kill them after you've shown them your bloody masterpiece. No, this was done purely intentional, indicating that the horned woman has a plan for Shauna Vayne.

And she is also described as a demon. And what do demons do? They CORRUPT people. And when I look at Vayne who is a bloodthristy and sadistic killing-machine with a burning harted to all she even remotely suspects to be magical and who finds ENJOYMENT in the slaughter... well, it'd say the corrpution was a full success. She even killed her own adoptive mother and teacher without a second thought! It can't get many more obvious than this I think.

But was this "beautiful" horned woman truly a demon? Or maybe something else? There exists one other entity that influences and "inspires" humans to the point where they become brutal killing machines beyond imagination. Obviously, I'm talking about Aatrox here. A small faction of soldiers losing a war and traumatized and scared in the face of death and suddenly they win by just slaughtering everyone in blind rage? It is like someone utilitzed their suffering to change them, for what puropse I can't say - and the same might have happened in a smaller scope with Vayne.

Maybe different Darkin operate differently? One choses armies, the other picks a single "champion". But... why? Just what are the Darkin scheming? Or are they even working together? Or maybe even against each other? We clearly lack lore in this regard...

On another note I wonder how Vayne would react when she realizes that her entire life she had been the pawn of the one she hates with passion - and that this hate was completly predicted and planned? It's like realizing your entire life has been a lie - but after reading what she did to Frey I am not sure if I should even have pity with her...

This sounds right, it's kinda similiar to Aatrox and Tryndamere, Aatrox even have a quote for Tryndamere: "Tryndamere, my greatest creation.", or hinting something about Aatrox's goal: "This one's rage will shape the world."

I actually think the horned woman is Evelyn.

Reminds me of Claymore lol Priscilla being the demon that killed Vayne's parents (Teresa) Claire being Vayne Frey is Illena

Claire spends her days hunting Priscilla while also slaying Yoma that she encounters. Really great series if anybody is interested!

All I don't understand is why the fuck this woman was "Lustful" and "Beautiful" Are y'all seriously that horny that Riot feels this need to include this kinda shit when talking about a murderous demon?

I felt like she killed her parents herself, and then blamed it on a "demon" to remove her own guilt. That would explain why she would kill a mother figure so quickly, because she already killed her mother. The "beautiful" horned women is vayne's inner rage/anger that boiled in her until she killed her parents. She kills monsters now purely becuase that way she can roam th country side killing people without being arrested/killed. If she "normal" people somene like Garen would have to put her down, but magic users? she can kill as many as she pleases. Reading the bio's Garen killed because he was trying to protect others, while Vayne does it for fun.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that Aatrox calls Tryndamere his "greatest creation",so it does sound like he intended Tryndamere to become infused with rage, just like the horned demon might have intended Vayne to become corrupted.

It left an impression on me also i was kind of hoping for that to be a cameo for the new champ that is supposed to be out soon before urgot

It would explain why she is so one dimensional

but another though before I read this post I thought that with this evidence:

"But was this "beautiful" horned woman truly a demon? Or maybe something else? There exists one other entity that influences and "inspires" humans."

The entitiy that came to my mind was Elise...simply because in her new lore she is supposed to be beautiful to the point of intoxication and she has horns. Why would she be in Demacia, i have no idea, but thats what I thought

With his post ur idea of that entity being a Darkin also sounds like viable idea and I really like the way u laid it out, especially the idea that different Darkin operate differently with this one inspiring a single champion, vs Aatrox inspiring armies.

In the previous lore I thought the evil woman was LeBlanc...

It could be her again, her "tiara" could be those horns and she's considered an attractive woman. Also, if you consider that LB is from Noxus and Vayne is from Demacia, it could make sense.

Can't wait for Urgot rework and new lore for Noxus.

I'm not convinced by your theory. What is there to go by that this demon is a Darkin? From Aatrox's lore, there are only 5 Darkin left. (Left. I also don't buy the theory that these Darkin are manifestations of deadly sins or anything like that.) From Shen's story, and the Lux and Garen story, there are a lot of demons in Runeterra. Only 5 of them even can be Darkin.

What is there to say that this horned demon is a Darkin? Circumstantial similarities to Aatrox and Tryndamere's story? Vayne also got mad when her parents were killed? I don't want to meet the child that wouldn't be upset if their parents were killed. Like Aatrox, they killed people? Not a great connection. This horned demon doesn't seem to share physical characteristics with Aatrox, either. I think Aatrox's horns are a helmet. (Unless Aatrox has asymmetrical appendages, he's wearing a gauntlet. The helmet and the gauntlet look alike to me.) The horned demon was never mentioned as having wings, either.

Why do I think the demon left Vayne alive? My guess is that the demon does what it wants to and didn't want to kill Vayne. Not because Vayne's special to the demon, but because Vayne isn't. Maybe the demon only kills couples or something like that.
