Really Riot...

Thanks for the Ahri base splash update regardless of how many people hated it.

Thanks for the constant radio silence leading up to this patch.

Thanks for making the new face worse, and going with that anyway.

Thanks for doing minimal modifications over 2 MONTHS and calling it fine.

And most of all, thanks for not listening to the overwhelming negative feedback from people outside of the pro anything-Riot-related circlejerk on reddit.

The downgrade is much appreciated.

What I don't get is that Tristana's splash was questioned when it didn't match the new model, but it was IMMEDIATELY responded to. In fact, multiple Trist threads had Red comments in them, and they were assured that the splash would be modified to look like the champion. I understand this was a VU, but Ahri's new base doesn't look like the champion...this was a concern expressed on a variety of sources.

Every. Single. Last. One of the Ahri threads had zero Riot-to-community interaction. Why? You obviously weren't ignoring them because there were two versions of the update. Alright, tinfoil hat time: Is this because it was shown at Worlds? It was seen by an audience and therefore it HAD to be THAT art used? Was Sona's -5 movement speed nerf just tacked onto the PBE update to distract people that the Ahri splash was still set on being shipped out?

Yes, I'm pulling these things out of my ass because I'm baffled that they still went with this splash. You should have talked to us after the first update was reverted. Feedback is more constructive when we don't feel like we're trying to yell over a brick wall to get you to hear us. Months later, you gave literally the same art with a worse face and tiny details that were missing from the old new version. Yeah, it's perfect now...

If Knockwurst isn't doing splashes anymore, let Michelle Hoefener do it - she actually knows what Ahri is supposed to look like.

you say you pull things out of your ass, I advice you to take your head out of it as well.

Riot has access to more sources of information than we do and if there's a circlejerk in reddit saying that Ahri's new splash is ok (which I agree with) it's because there IS a lot of people who likes it, same as there's a circlejerk here of people doing horrid modifications of said splash art and saying it's better. As a matter of fact there was a post in these forums from a KOREAN LoL community asking for them to keep the new splash art.

So when you say that the voices of the people weren't heard, you're wrong, they were heard and what the majority said was that the splash art is amazing and should be kept, feel free to disagree of course but this level of flak against Riot is unjustified.

I agree with you on this, they're ruining everything I LOVED about this game & my favorite champions. Sona gets nerf after nerf. Ahri is now actually quite ugly in this new splash. You scroll, through the skins and its so wrong. She looks so different from the shape of her face, chin, mouth, and eyes. Why is there even red eyeshadow? Tbh she looks like a sickly witch to me & I don't like that. Even if I were to cosplay, I would cosplay as her from the original spalsh because I loved everything about it from the deatils on her skirt of the dress, which in the New one, is all white. Very plain. & to the way the dress doesnt cup each boob. Also hair, it's much more elegant than how sloppy it looks now. I can't even fall in love with the new splash no matter how hard I try. The atmosphere is so dark, I hate it. I always viewed ahri as very elegant and beautiful fox lady now she seems very messy. Especially with the tails so cluttered. But this is imo. In all the other skin splashes, they really know how to draw it right. I'm hoping that they won't keep this up for long because even the new icon looks extremely derp too. Please have at least one of those artists work on this riot. This used to be my favorite game, but I feel as if you're ruining it slowly by trying to modernize TOO much because you're ruining some of the things that were very iconic. Gj, I'm out.
