The Bearded Lady trinket

As you know Illaoi gave Miss Fortune a trinket made of coral made to resemble what the Bearded Lady looks like. Now we know that the Lady exist but its interesting to note how Miss Fortune described it, an eye with tentacles coming out of it.

Am I saying the Bearded Lady is a Watcher? What no, what gave you that idea? But rather i'm implying that Illaoi is from the Freljord! Now either everything is a coincidence or I'm just looking to deep into this. But I have to ask, has Illaoi ever seen the Bearded Lady? I mean you don't have to see something to believe in it right? In fact how many people have actually seen the Bearded Lady? I'm not saying that the Bearded Lady doesn't exist but I wouldn't be amazed if no one has actually seen the Lady.

Another key thing to note is what she calls the Bearded Lady,** the Nagakabouros**. Now of course there will be many names for one deity but it's interesting to note what she says after that,_ paylangi_. Could this be her native tongue or how those who pray to the Bearded Lady talk to one another?

Over all though, even though I originally said Illaoi may be from Freljord due to the way Miss Fortune described the pendant. It is possible she may have came from some were else entirely for lets not forget, Bilgewater is a giant melting pot.

Well, I think it was established pretty clearly that Illaoi is from the aboriginal people of the Blue Flame Islands.

Also, a lot of things point at the Bearded Lady being some sort of sea serpent (her other name is Mother Serpent, and is also called Nagakabouros, which includes references to both the Naga and Ouroboros, both snake-related things).

We also were shown these icons today, the third of which might be a representation of the trinket Illaoi gave Sarah.

Some of these new words sound like they might be Maori influenced.
