New splash should be Evelynn's Visual Update

Recently a Rioter stated that they are still planning to make a full update to Evelynn: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/mvHRM2Lm-evelynns-new-splash-art-is-absolutely-amazing?comment=0003 and this will lead to her splash being updated again along with her lore and maybe skills etc etc.

I think we all should take a look at how overwhelming the reaction to the new splash is. Let's face It, this new splash is awesome. It looks practically the same as old Evelynn you know and love hate, but at the same time it solves all the existing problems she has. She's attractive, she actually wears some clothing, spikes on her leggings look like something she can actually use now and this art shows a lot more character. She also has this cool neck-chest armor-like thingy. And overall she looks very new and shiny while still being 100% recognizable as the same Evelynn from the League of Legends beta.

Riot, you shouldn't be missing out on this opportunity and make this splash her Visual Update. When the time comes, just remake her ingame model so it fits the new splash art - and here's your VU right there. Don't make this great work go to waste!

TL;DR New splash fixes all Evelynn's problems and it should be her VU.

its just really hard to actually imagine them making anything better than this, and that isnt to say that they lack the capability, its just that this absolutely nails what the character is, was and should be all in one go!

Its sexy, its vicious, its sadistic, its elegant.. This is all from a concept that was basically mystique in bondage, this artist managed to take one of the laziest designed champs and produce something truly unique out of it! This splash alone makes me want to make evelynn one of my mains!

Heck, Im the kind of guy that finds sexualized female characters to be embarrassing, i generally cant stand the token ... slut (ie Ivy from soul calibur, though there was always voldo to balance it out) But i find myself drawn to this image!

Its... perfect! Its exactly what it should be, its context, style and everything is just spot on Yeah shes sexy, her body language conveys that, but its all a means to an end and you can see the intent on her face, where her mask has been removed and now she is relishing in the kill.

Her original splash seemed completely random from skin tone, hair style, fashion sense, streamers, studs, symbol on her head, color scheme etc, and till now i didnt really consider any of it worth preserving, but this seems to harmonize it all into some cohesive theme, and after seeing this picture i cant imagine evelynn without anything she has here, from her hate spikes, streamers, the symbol, her talons, the contextless blue skin, the wild hair style, all those random cues make perfect sense in this picture somehow.

And its not enough that this actually looks good now, its completely unique, she has her silhouette, you could recognize this evelynn from a shadowed line up of all of leagues other champs fairly quickly, main draws being the talons, the streamers, the hair and the thornlike spikes

Could not agree more. It feels strange to be so enthuiastic about this splash because I'd rather not be associated with one of those people who is weirdly obsessive with sexualisation as a concept but it is so hard to envision Evelynn being better than this. The second I found out there was a mysterious female assassin in League who ran around invisible to sneak up on people, I wanted to play her. Unfortunately her splash and model being hideous and not at all threatening completely ruined the fantasy and on top of that, her kit was pretty disappointing for it. Pretty crappy VO too.

Give her a completely new voiceover, remake her model to match her new splash and update her kit to push her more towards being an assassin and less towards being a weird tanky bruiser thing. Boom, Eve's perfect.

I'd actually be sad to see this splash go. Her new splash art is probably one of the most well done in the game. Her clothes look much better now and her looks overall fit what she is meant to be.

While I LOVE this new splash art, I must disagree about visually updating her into this look. I personally find the demon dominatrix look a bit tired and classless, and I feel there are much better ways of expressing her sexual nature without resorting to spiked lingerie. I mean, there could be ways to make it a bit more seductive, like changing it to a bust top line instead of ending it at the neck, and naturally some flair to make it more dark and sinister, but I think it would pull Eve in line with the rest of the champions if her looks goes into a more serious direction.

Evelynn's original splash art looks like a blue goblin gimp who goes to the same hairdresser as Syndrome from The Incredibles. Just thought I'd share that.

Agreed! Here, her proportions are all correct and she doesn't look so caricature. Not only that, it looks as though she has more to her character than some succubus that "nobody knows much about" (I always felt that was just laziness). Not only that, there are a few pieces there that don't match up with her model. So in all honesty, just replicate everything in this splash art, follow up with some new junk and you got yourselves a champion that's much more put together, Riot!

I know most of the time they change the art to match the model in updates, but I would honestly love it if this were the first time they changed the model to look like the art.

Honestly,while I think the new splash looks great,I disagree with the idea of making it her VGU-design,at least not with some changes.

Because I feel like Eve still lacks a bit in terms of theme,I mean what is she?An evil blue stripper? So changing Eves design to fit more into a certain theme,like Succubus,would make sense to me.

I agree. I don't think I've ever seen such unanimous positive feed back on a visual change/update as I am seeing here for Evelynn. I hope Riot keeps this splash art as her VU, and centers her game play and lore around this.

Alternatively, they go the Tristana route and change the splash again with the update. Still, this splash is such a huge improvement over the current one.
