Are we ever going to get cheaper skins again soon?

Just hear me out: we've been getting a lot of high quality for quite some time now (high quality meaning the 1350+ range). But here's the thing, we've barely gotten any cheaper alternatives for quite some time now. The only skins that's been around the 975 range and lower is Chemtech Tryndamere and the few April Fools skins from last year, but those were fairly early on. So in short, we've been getting roughly around 1350 skins non-stop for over 8 months now.

Look, I'm not saying Riot should tone down the quality of every skin they put out, but I would also imagine people may not always like paying $10 for a new skin all the time if they want it or even can't afford it. Even then, I find cheap skins to have a bit of charm to them. They're not super flashy or have unique new effects, but sometimes I don't want that. If it can sell the theme while being at a good price, then I'd pay for it.

I don't think cheap skins were very good for the game.

The improved VFX for skins can really make or break them; I don't like some of the cheap skins that I own anymore. They just haven't aged well as League has grown into a bigger game with a bigger budget.

Now, what I think is cool is offering chromas, which have largely replaced that space. They are basically cheap skins (many of the cheaper skins were just amped up recolors anyway). Would it make you happier if they had chromas for all/most of the base champ models?

I may disagree with you, but I think this is a really interesting discussion to have; you are definitely right in your observation and I'd love to see what other people think.
