Can Shen's Spirit Blade do more visually?

I really like Shen's update but I feel that the Blade looks really boring just sitting there all the time. Like, can it flash or pulse or something when he attacks or uses an ability? I'm sure you guys probably considered that though and removed it. Am I right? ;)
