Will Cho'Gath get some kind of visual explanation for why he can do certain abilities?

To be specific, will there ever be changes to his model (or animations) to show why he can do stuff like shooting spikes out of nowhere from punching things or causing them to pop out of the ground somewhere ahead of him? (Vorpal Spikes and Rupture respectively.)

While it is probably not (and most likely shouldn't be) a top priority, it is something that has been bothering me for a while, especially when compared with other Void Monsters and how they all have something to show off why they can do certain abilities (such as Kha'Zix being able to shoot spikes that grow from his back/shell, or Kog'Maw shooting bile at everyone.)

(Apologies if this comes off as needy or whine-y)

One of the goals when we approach him will be to give some rhyme and reason as to why his abilities to what they do. It'll be an interesting challenge. Currently we do have a concept hanging around where there's a good case made on his physical body for seeing his spikes appear from the ground.

Chogath stomps the ground, sending a message through vibrations to a weird HedgehogXerSai that lives in the underground. Then, the HedgehogXerSai uses his spikes to damage the enemy in the area that Chogath selected

They'll probably use the void rift/portal effects most Void champions use. The spikes on Q will just come out of purple rifts in the ground. For his E I bet they'd do something similar to Kha'Zix's Void Spikes. Cho'Gath and Kog'Maw are the only Void-related champions that don't fully follow the Void aesthetic that has been solidified over the years. I bet they'll be brought in line to fit with the others when they get some work done on them.

It's a worthwhile question. Most likely, for Rupture, Cho'Gath will get something along the lines of Malzahar's and Vel'Koz's AOE spells, with a purple space hole thing going on but with more spikes. As for the spikes, that's a bit harder to explain, but some sort organic organ on Cho'Gath's lower arms (or maybe on his chest) that activate every time he strikes with his scythe claws might work. They don't need to be void-y.

I'd prefer Rupture to be like Battlecast Prime's Rupture. He slams the earth, and the target area cracks with energy then explodes.

Battlecast Cho has the answers you are searching for.

Btw it's a videogame and this is kinda small compared to what they're working on right now but i see your point. Cho gath did just get a vu and they're gonna be working on other stuff most likely.

Chogath_ is_ AP so it wouldn't surprise me if the answer to rupture is Void magic (I mean look at Velkoz and Malzahar and Kassadin ). Also Chogath is a very spiky fellow, so spikes flying everywhere when he attacks shouldn't be too out of place.

It would be cooler if his body slammed into the ground instead of stomping to do Q
