Why does everyone assume anyone who doesn't like Kai'Sa wants her to be sexy or edgy?

Most of us just expected a predator personality like Rengar or Kha'Zix. Look at Kha'Zix quotes;

"Position for ambush" "Evolve and overcome" "Fear the Void"

This makes it seem like the Void is a place where you HAVE to be the predator if you want to live. I wanted her to be a predator personality type champ, with the ironic twist of wanting to stop the Void when she's just like them.

Right now her personality feels like it would work better on Kassadin, who REALLY needs some new voice lines and should have the "stop the void" attitude, like Jax would have if he was more open about it.

I don't want her counting, I don't want "GOTCHA!" and I don't want poetic monologues upon respawn.

To be fair, it is because half the post have admitted "We don't like her because she isn't a edgy."

You've got the arguments pretty mixed up. No one I've seen thinks she isn't sexy.

If anything it's a matter of one side thinking she's generic, boring and doesn't convey her thematic well enough, and some people are strawmanning that as "you're just mad because she's sexy."

The complaints I've seen fall into two general categories.

Her experiences in the Void should have left her with a very exaggerated personality. SUPER survivalist brimming with determination. UTTERLY alien mindset of a person who had to discard their humanity to survive in an alien world. Grizzled warrior who's holding it together, but is showing obvious signs of PTSD (think Omega Teemo). Even a fairly normal, happy person who's just absolutely overjoyed to be back inside the universe. Instead she seems bored. It's like the worst part of the Other M voice acting all over again.
Her lack of any physical alteration erodes the threat the Void represents. Because she's unmarked, that means the Void's influence is far less insidious than we've been lead to believe. That shifts the threat from the Void itself to the voidlings that inhabit it. And if a child can get dumped into the Void, wear a voidling as a jumpsuit, and come out as top predator there, then how much of a threat are they, really?
