Pantheon and Aatrox titles, something's been nagging at me for awhile now.

Pantheon **Pantheon, the Artisan of War. ** (Artisan: a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand.) "They disgrace the art of war."

Aatrox Aatrox, the Darkin Blade. "This battle will be my masterpiece."

"I am as timeless as war."

"Nobody understands me! They called my work a hack job."

"This is no mere massacre; this is my masterwork!"

Aatrox fits the title of the Artisan of War faaar better than Pantheon does. It's like Riot recycled this idea from Pantheon and made a better mold of a being that revels in war; that being being Aatrox. Aatrox doesn't simply live and fight for war, he creates them, he changes the tides of war. While plebeian grunts like Pantheon only feel the adrenaline rush, Aatrox sees beauty amongst the screams and the rage of warriors. He lives for that shit.

The earliest tale of Aatrox is as old as recorded history. It tells of a war between two great factions remembered only as the Protectorate and the Magelords. Over time, the Magelords won a series of crushing victories, leaving them on the brink of obliterating their sworn enemy forever. On the day of their final confrontation, the Protectorate army found themselves outnumbered, exhausted, and poorly equipped. They braced for inevitable defeat.

Just when all hope seemed lost, Aatrox appeared among the ranks of the Protectorate. With but a few words, he urged the soldiers to fight to the last before throwing himself into battle. His presence inspired the desperate warriors. At first, they could only watch in awe as this unknown hero cleaved through their enemies, his body and blade moving in unison as if one being. Soon, the warriors found themselves imbued with a potent thirst for battle. They followed Aatrox into the fray, each fighting with the furious strength of ten until they had won a most unlikely victory. __ Their surprising triumph led to many more until they were able to finally return home victorious. Their countrymen hailed them as heroes, but though they had saved their entire civilization from destruction, darkness lingered in the mind of each warrior. Something within them had changed. Over time, their memories of battle faded, only to be replaced with a grim revelation: their acts of heroism were, in fact, brutal atrocities committed by their own hands.

Aatrox's presence has changed the course of some of the most important wars in history. Though these stories remember him as a savior in dark times, Aatrox's true legacy may be a world filled with conflict and strife.

Pantheon should be, the Grand Warlord. He's a master warrior, the best there is of all warrior tribes (the Rakkor) in Runeterra.

Aatrox should be, the Architect of War. He creates discord and conflict, he loves it; to him, war is ecstasy.

Just my opinion.

I think you need to dig deeper- has anyone actually seen Pantheon and Aatrox in the same place at the same time? Or looked under Pantheon's helmet?! WAKE UP SHEEPLE

Seems like a pretty apples and oranges comparison to me. Artisan also implies a great deal of training, where in his lore does it describe training for Aatrox? Feel like timeless or a leader type idea would fit better in his title than artisan if they wanted to change it to involve war or warrior. Then again if you read up on what we know about the darkin race...pretty sure that title also fits him well.

Aatrox has to be strong to be architect of war. He's more like a medic of war now, with an antique weapon to show off.

Pantheon in my mind is not someone who fights war for war's sake. He was trained for that, but he knows the bigger picture of why he was trained. His people don't live in a place where they can sustain themselves through anything else.

Pantheon and Mount Targon are going to get a huge lore retcon (I assume, also if I assume the lore retcon actually happens)
