Have you seen Pharaoh Nidalee's splash art? looks ridiculous
every old champion will eventually get a vu. for some its easier than for others. lets take lux for example. she is in need of a vu aswell. but shes a well fleshed out character and has a distinct theme going.
she probably wouldnt need more of a vu than the scale of ashe. so its easy to do. they dont need to change too much about her look.
amumu is a different story. if they update him, they probably want to flesh out his character more and something special with him.
