I'd actually say rather low. Back then when they showed us Ao shin,they pretty much just showed us a cool concept art of what they roughly want to do.

They didn't have the tech to actually support such a champion(the serpentine body is a real problem) and only had some vague sketches for his kit/character.

Now however they not only have the tech for his body,but they also worked on his abilities and character.

Not to mention that back then they were like "well at least 2 champs come before this guy,but who knows when he'll be released",now they actually gave us a timeframe,saying that he'll be released in the first half of 2016(which would make him most likely one of the next 2 champions)

Plus if you go back thru to Vel'Koz's Q&A i think they mentioned each of his tentacles have 16 articulation points.I think after Vel'Koz they had a better understanding on how to make a fluid motion using him as a basis as Illaoi's Tentacles even though minimal have fluiditiy.

Plus they also probably will incorporate what they learned from the Poppy Update as she has the most facial motions of all the champions. This leads me to think this was all experimentation for something like Ao Shin... At least it won't be a Lee Sin case where they go to trash it and people whine and they release garbage onto the Rift. Don't think they will repeat that mistake again.

I've been starting to play AurelionSol Aurelion Sol and I find Mr star forger quite fun. I'm a Rammus Rammus main therefor I'm sooooo used to playing a tanky champion that Sol's semi-tankiness somewhat helps. Don't get me wrong she's Definitely more reliable Full AP with Standard Builds but being squishy annoys me therefore I play her tankier than most. For example I ACTUALLY tend to use Courage of the Colossus when support in Summoner's Rift because Q and R proc it, BUT I do usually go Storm Raiders Surge Or Thunderlords, although I don't find it that necessary IF I have Magic penetration in my Runes or +4,5%MS(MoveSpeed) Runes.

Anyways IDK if this is a trend but AurelionSol is FANTASTIC for Twisted Treeline 3v3 JG summoner 11 Aurelion Sol's mobility allows her to roam freely through the map (I don't recommend JG in Summoner's Rift). The 3v3 map IS smaller Comet of Legend(E) Allows you to get to the Altars A LOT quicker and their are less monster camps which I Also find easier to kite so your clear speed is quicker. You also take less DMG than you would in the Summoner's Rift SO that's GOOD LoL. Since this map tends to have more Heavy AD champs or On-Hit AP champs the tankiness of the JG builds helps tremendously. I've tried pretty much every Build you can think of & ARMOR does come in handy, FULL AP builds make you WAY too squishy

I'm usually not against Riot, i hate all the whine around how they work (or don't). But if this time something happens that makes Aurelion Sol shift for months or years again, then it will be the clear proof that they didn't learn anything from Ao Shin :/

i.e. I hope they are very far into Aurelion Sol's developement, so far he can't be iceboxed again

If anything Aurelion Sol was originally Ao Shin. Considering things change alot in development it wouldn't surprise me. Like how Omen is a Pre Rek'Sai of sorts in stance.
